Madison's POV:
I couldn't say anything, couldn't move, and I think I stopped breathing for a minute. I mean you don't expect to hear that you have met the one person you've wanted to meet your whole life. The one person who wasn't in your life and the one person you need to have in your life. "I'm really sorry Madison,"Sam said sympathetically. I don't think he really knew how I felt at that moment in time, he might have been thinking I was angry or sad at the fact he never told me who he was when he had the chance, but really, I was confused, not mad or sad,just...confused. Why would he have come to that house, from what Sam and Dean told me if there is a hunter in town or around they would've been there before? "Madison, maybe he was checking up on you, I mean if I had a kid and I wasn't able to see them, I would want to check up on them and see if they're safe," Sam said. "Maybe," I said with a sigh, "C'mon I think the others are waiting for us we should get going," I said. The two tall men looked at the short girl walk away to the others, "She just brushed that under the carpet, like nothing happened." Dean said, "Well if she wants to be a hunter, that's one thing you've got to learn." Sam said. "Right." Dean had said ending the conversation.
As I got back to where the others were I saw Haley crouch down and pick up Tom's cell phone I assumed because it was bloody, and she was crying. She turns the phone over in her hands and looks at the back, there was nothing in it. Dean goes over to her and crouches beside her, "Hey, he could still be alive." he said giving her assurance, Haley just gave Dean a look. "HELP! HELP!" we heard someone screaming for help. Roy automatically takes the lead as everyone else runs to help aid the person in distress. As we get to the area we heard the screaming we find that there is no one there. "It seemed like it was coming from around here, didn't it?" Haley asks. We sit there listening for a bit and hear nothing. "Everyone back to camp." Sam orders, as we get back to the disheveled campsite we find that all the supplies are missing. They just went "POOF" into thin air, how could that be? "Our packs!" Haley says surprised, "So much for my GPS and my satellite phone." Roys says. "What the hell is going on," I say utterly confused by the whole situation. "It's smart. It wants to cut us off so we can't call for help." Sam says, "You mean someone, some nutjob out there just stole all our gear?" Roy says agitated.
"I need to speak to you two. In private." Sam says gesturing to Dean and I. We head little ways away from the group to speak in private. "Good. Let me see Dad's journal." Sam says to Dean. Dean then pulls out a tattered journal and hands it to Sam, "Oh, right you don't know what this is." Dean says, "It's basically a journal that our dad...I mean Dad has kept over the years to show every monster and ghost he's encountered, and written it down in this notebook to show how to gank them." Dean says to me telling me what the journal was. In that time Dean was explaining what the journal was to me Sam had already found the page he was looking for, "Alright, check that out." He points to a First Nations-style drawing of a figure. "Oh come on, wendigos are in the Minnesota woods or, or northern Michigan. I've never even heard of one this far west." Dean says, "Guys I hate to be a bother, but what the hell is a wendigo?" I say lost in that whole conversation the boys just had.
Dean's POV:
"Guys I hate to be a bother, but what the hell is a wendigo?" Madison asked us. Man, I hate to admit it but, if she is going to be with us looking for Dad then I guess we have to teach her about this life and what comes with it. "A wendigo is pretty much a monster that hunts in the woods, mostly at night, and take people to have for their dinner, usually don't eat them for a while too, so we might be lucky," Sam tells her. "I guess you guys weren't kidding when you said you have weird lives." She said with a little chuckle. "She didn't even question about the whole monster thing she just got it right away, she might actually be an okay hunter someday. Wait what am I thinking she can't be a hunter, she's just a kid, but on the other hand she seems like she'd be good at it and she wants to help find Dad, god I hate things like this." I think to myself while Sam was filling her in on the whole wendigo situation. " Hey Dean, DEAN!" Sam yelled getting my attention, "Think about it, the claws, the way it can mimic a human voice." Sam says. "Great," I say as I pull out my pistol and make sure it's loaded. "Shouldn't I get one too?" Madison asks, "No way kid you can't handle one of these yet, plus you don't even know how to shoot one." I say to her not wanting her to get hurt or her hurt anyone else. She sighs takes the gun from the bag points and shoots a tree right in the middle. Sam and I looked surprised, "I think I can handle it." She said smartly and started to walk off. "Don't you try that again it probably heard that! And plus these things are useless anyways!" I yell to her, "Whatever." She replied. Sam looks at me, "She got you on that one." He chuckled, "No, she's being a little smart ass." I say, "No she's being you." Sam says lastly walking off laughing leaving me back a little. "Oh god, she's a mini-me," I say to myself.
