"What the fuck were you thinking?" - Asked Helena while hitting him with the invitation to the funeral.
"I'm sorry, okay? just stop hitting me!" -Said Jason with now a fresh bruise on his left eye.
"You were so lucky Violet's mom wasn't here yet" - She was so mad you could see the vein on her forehead about to pop.
"She would've kicked us out of the damn church Jason, Jesus Christ what that hell were you thinking?" - Jason stayed in silence, after all he knew he fucked up. A girl walked towards them and informed them that the ceremony was about to start and that they should go to their sits.
"Sure.." - She said, then looked back at Jason expecting the response to her previous question yet didn't get one, she emitted an angry sigh and asked Jason to follow her with a nod.
The ceremony started with the end of the melancholic music, everyone sat in silence where they belonged in this case Jason and Helena were sitting at the back, leaving a row behind them just in case someone got there late. They were waiting to listen to the words that the priest had so "carefully" prepared. Jason and Helena sat next to each other but never looked at each other. Helena could feel her blood boiling from the rage it caused her to see so many people Violet hated crying over her death, it's not like Violet was a hateful person, she just knew who she liked and who meant nothing to her and not minding if everyone found out.
The priest stepped up and began his speech:
**
After those last few words Jason felt his body tingle, like when you receive unexpected touch on your bare skin. The priest continued his speech
"Stupid" - He could hear coming from the back of his head.
He turned to the row behind them, but there was no one sitting there. He felt like if he was being watched, like if there were some mourning eyes piercing his skull, he felt some warm hands trying to hold him from behind, the cute kind. The warm hands, one on his chest, the other one on his stomach. He was going to whip his head to look back, but for some reason the feeling was familiar and nostalgic, he didn't want to ruin it. The hands kept tightening around his chest, so tight he felt how his oxygen was being squeezed out of his body, and in a moment he was back on the cliff.
"I should be crying you know"- He was seeing double in some way and this time she was wearing a white dress and no shoes. She looked... Pure.
"I wanna die, kill me" - She continued. He tried to grab her this time but he was chained to the ground. He tried to scream but his words had no sound.
No! Stop! were the words trapped in his head.
"...push me"- Said Violet now with a distorted demon like voice.
"You didn't do anything" - She was right in front of him. His eyes widened with tears streaming down his cheeks.
Stop! Get me out of here! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!, his bottom lip was trembling.
Then he saw it, the scene he's been trying to forget for days. She gave him the diary. But this time in an involuntary movement he pushed her.
It's all your fault.
