<<<Ashley's POV>>>
I was finally feeling better after weeks and weeks of hospitalization, so I got to go back to the apartment with AJ. I was so excited! I missed her so, so much. I'd also get to see Diesel.
I burst through the unlocked doors and jumped back in surprise at the chorus of "Surprise!" that greeted me.
"Welcome back home!" AJ crowed, throwing a handful of sparkles at my face.
"Wh-what the?!" I stuttered. Above the staircase was a welcome home banner and balloons filled with helium drifted about the house. Diesel came running to me with a bow around his neck and if he could I was sure he would have been grinning widely.
"What is this?!" I asked again.
"What is this? What does it look like?! It's a welcome home party!!!"
And so my first day back home began.
