Wattpad for Dummies

1/ Creating An Account

1. Click on Join Now, you can find this at the top of the page.

2. Now you’ll have to decide whether you want to use your Facebook-account, or your email address to create your Wattpad account

* Fill out the form

Choose a username; this name must be unique, 6-20 characters long and is case-sensitive

Enter your email address. Use a valid one because this is the email address to which Wattpad will sent an activation email. Your email address will not be shown publically!

Choose a password. It is best to have a strong password.

Enter your date of birth; notice the month-day-year order!

Select your gender

Read the terms of use for Wattpad, and don’t forget to select the statement that you’ve read, and agreed to the terms of use for Wattpad in order to be able to become a member.

Click on “Sign Up!”

[IMPORTANT NOTE:  You have to be at least 13 years old to create an account on Wattpad! This is because of the Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

* Activation email

An activation email will be sent to the email address you gave up. When this email arrives, all you have to do is open it and click the activation link (or you can always enter the activation code the next time you log in on Wattpad)
