Naruto x Reader

At First Glance:

You were currently jumping from tree branch to tree branch, heading to the Hidden Leaf from the Hidden Sand. Your Kazekage, Gaara, recommended a transfer for you, to serve under the Hokage, Hatake Kakashi. Though you didn't understand why, you were second in command to Gaara's Anbu Black Ops, and he said he had no complaints, but he was sending you off. You slid to a stop, on a tree right before the entrance to the Hidden Leaf, readjusting your Anbu mask, before jumping to the ground. You pulled a small scroll from your pouch, and walked to the large open doors. No one stopped you as you entered, and you weren't surprised. After the Fourth Great Shiniobi War, all the five Hidden villages were on good terms, so anyone was aloud to come and go as they pleased, as long as they had permission from the appropriate Kage. Your eyes took in everything, until you landed on the great wall of Hokage, Gaara had said you would find the Hokage building under those faces. So you headed in that direction, taking your time. 

When the red oval building came into your sight, you felt the muscles in your shoulders tense up again, you hated dealing with people like this, after everything you had been through, people you had to tolerate and work with tended to get under your skin. It's why you preferred being apart of the Anbu in the Hidden Sand, you didn't have to deal with many people, mostly just Gaara. You began ascending the stairs, following Gaara's directions to the Hokage's office. Once you came to a large door, you knocked, and opened when you heard 'Come In' in the lazy voice of Kakashi. You had worked with him during the war, under his command. 

"Lord Hokage." You said, opening the door, and bowing slightly. You acknowledged the two others in the room, besides the Hokage. And you knew who they were as well, Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, the best team paring in the Hidden Leaf, and Heroes of the war. These two had perfected their teamwork in such a way, that they were practically unbeatable together. 

"Ah, yes. You must be (L/N) (Y/N)." Kakashi said, drawing your attention from the two heroes. "You can call me Kakashi." He said, leaning back in his chair, behind his desk. 

"Of course." You said, walking forward and handing Kakashi the scroll from Gaara. 

"Or you can call him a pervert." Naruto coughed out, earning a smack from Sasuke. 

"I don't sit around and insult my superiors, no matter what." You responded, not looking at Naruto, "It is disrespectful, and childish." You heard a slight chuckle, and saw Sasuke trying to hold back a laugh, as Naruto looked dumbfolded. He probably realized you had insulted him, you turned your gaze back to Kakashi, and he, too, was trying not to laugh as he read over the scroll. 

"Alright, (Y/N), would you like to be put on a squad, be a teacher, or begin in the Anbu here?" Kakashi asked, you felt your eyebrows rise behind your mask, he was giving you a choice of what you wanted to do. You hadn't expected that. 

"I don't work well with others, and I don't think my skill sets would be good as a teacher, so I'll join the Anbu." You responded. You unlike other Anbu members, rarely removed your mask, after the war, the facial injuries you suffered, had scarred your face horribly.

"Wait, I know you, don't I?" Kakashi paused. 

"I was under your command during the war." You responded. And he nodded, his eyes widening at remembering you.

"I think you would make a fine teacher, I remember you and your fighting style; however, if you'd like to stay on as Anbu, I will not force you. But I would like you to think about this first. Your skill set, as you say, is perfect for teaching students. You were as skilled as the Uchiha's and determined as Naruto." Kakashi said, before looking down at the scroll again. "So take some time to decide first, you will be staying down the hall from Naruto, it was our only available place." You nodded.
