A/N: Sorry about updating yesterday, had a busy day and got lost in a Stephen King book called "Finder's Keepers." But I'll have Sai's finished today <3
At First Glance:
You are an ex-Anbu Blackops for the Hidden Stone, after the war, you decided to become a regular Shinobi, with students, and you were on a mission to help deliever a few merchants to the Hidden Leaf. The trek from the Land of Earth to the Land of Fire wasn't an easy one, you had to get passed the massive mountians, then travel through the Land of Grass, to even touch the Land of Fire. While the Five Great Nations were at peace, the more minor nations like the Land of Grass were still a bit risky to run through unceremoniously. You knew that the Hidden Leaf were suppose to meet you on the trek as soon as they could, coming towards the Hidden Stone to meet you and your squad. You weren't sure who the team would consist of, and you didn't care as long as it wasn't Naruto. You had nothing against the guy, but your students would be so excited to meet one of the Heroes of the Fourth Shinobi War. They were already excited for their first B-Rank mission, and add it their idol, they'd lose their focus, and things could go wrong.
"(Y/N)-sensei, who do you think our partners from the Leaf, will be?" your female student asked. You turned slightly to look at the young raven haired girl, and thought about it for a minute before responding.
"Hmm, I'm not sure." You answered, giving the girl a smile. "But probably someone good, the Leaf is filled with amazing shinobi, all who are strong and brave in their own right."
"I hope it's Mr. Naruto." She responded, getting a glazed look in her eyes. "He is so dreamy and powerful, don't you think sensei?" She asked. And you inwardly groaned.
"I think Naruto is strong, but I'm sure he has many other missions to handle." You replied.
"What if it's Mr. Sasuke?" One of your other students announced, and you glanced back at him, the white haired boy said with envy.
"I don't know if he has returned to the Leaf yet." You responded, now you wanted to send your students back, because they were already getting to excited.
"I heard he is the only one in the world who can match Mr. Naruto." And soon became a discussion about whom was stronger of the two, and you wanted to scream. They had been doing so well, and you thought they had finally earned a B-rank mission, but now you were doubting your own judgement. You let them continue their little discussion, as you paid attention to your surroundings, you were closing in on the mountain range, that shielded the the Land of Earth from invasions. As the mountains got higher, the sun began setting lower. When you reached the trailed that would lead you through the village, you came to a slow stop. The sun had set, leaving everything to bask in the moonlight.
"We will set up came here, until the sun rises, we don't want to attempt to cross the mountains without good lighting." You spoke out, and everyone obeyed, setting up camp just beyond the trail.
---(Time Skip)
You and the group of merchants had gotten through mountains unharmed. You were currently scouting a little further ahead as you entered the Land of Grass. While there wasn't much of a shinobi village here any longer, after the situation with Orochimaru and the war, the village had take a lot of hit, and had dispersed into other villages. But anyone could have taken up the area, and made use of Orochimaru's hidden lab. You knew the exact location of the lab, but not what was in it, or who could've taken up shop there. The trek had turned silent, and you and your squad were on edge, prepared for anything. And as you closed in on Orochimaru's old lab, you were shocked to see a group of four standing around it. You silently inched closer, to get a look at them.
