Chapter Eighteen.

Maddie's POV

We walked to Harry's car and he drove out of the parking lot. He drove to my house then before I could open the door he backed out of the drive way. I looked at him, he drove back in the direction he came with a sly smirk on his face. "Harry, stop being such a smart ass." I said crossing my arms over my chest and looking at him. I somewhat hissed in anger and he looked at me. "What are you part cat?" He said laughing slightly. I looked away from him nodding my head. "I would love to be part cat." I said looking out the window.

"I'm taking that cats are your favourite animal?" He asked talking a small glance at me. "I told you I wanted to go home! Why are we headed back to the school?" I asked changing the subject. "I took you home. You didn't say you wanted to stay." He retorted. I hissed at him again and kept looking out the window. "Yes I love cats. By the way." I said answering his question he had asked.

He nodded and then we pulled back into the school parking lot.

Harry's POV

I sat looking at the clock waiting for the last bell to ring. I had the best idea and since I was taking Maddie home I would make a quick stop at the pet store. She was going to get a cat! I swear of it she will. And maybe it will show her that I could be more then just her best friend.

It also should help with the 'dating stage' of Amanda's plan. So it would help show Maddie that I am better then one of the others she's been forced to be with. That I can really take care of her and not be some cheating ass hole. I watched as the clock moved slower and slower and I wish the bell would ring sooner.

I for a few more minutes and then the sweet yet very annoying sound of the bell rang and I jumped up grabbing my books from social and sprinting to the door. I would have to go to the science lab to get Maddie. Also since she didn't want my locker combo, she would always have to wait for me to get in it. I saw the science lab and pretty much ran to the door. Everyone was walking out so I stood to the side waiting for Maddie to walk out.

"That was a very... Different class." I heard her sweet voice say to someone unnamed. "It was, I guess" I heard Liam's voice reply. I noticed them walk out and I decided to make myself noticeable. "Maddie, hello!" I said stepping behind her and hugging her that way. She didn't mind and leaned back into my touch. "Howdy Hazza." She said turning on her heel after a bit to hug me better.

"Ready to go home?" I asked breaking the hug, slowly killing myself at the same time. I wanted to stay in that hug more then anything. The touch of her skin and mine drove me crazy. The way she felt so right in my arms made me insane. These three weeks would be the death of me if my feeling got stronger. "Yes! I miss my poor couch and bed and food!" She said sighing happily. "Well we have one stop before we get there." I said walking to my locker, her following me closely. "Bye Liam!" She called noticing that she almost forgot. I heard a faint see you later come from the other direction and I kept walking.

"Where are we stopping before my lovely home?" She asked leaving up against the wall by my locker. Her science text book in hand and her long hair falling down around her. He side bang some how creeping over her left eye. I chewed on my cheek trying to calm myself. "You'll see." I said opening the locker door and setting my books inside and then taking Maddie's and doing the same. I closed the door and walked towards the exit with Maddie hot on my heels.

I reached my car and unlocked it. "I can't wait to get my own car." Maddie said opening the passengers door and slipping into the seat. "It would be nice. So then I wouldn't have to drive you." I teased and she looked at me with a roll of her eyes and then turned forwards again. "Could you please tell me where we are going?" She asked once again. I shook my head and kept driving. I watched for the pet store hoping I didn't miss it.

Once the big sign came to my eyes view, I happily grinned and turned into the turning lane. I glanced over to see Maddie with a confused look on her face. I parked my car and turned it off. She sat there staring at the store in front of us. "What are we doing at a pet store, Harry?" She looked at me with a slightly small smile. I looked at the store and then opened my door to get out. She followed my actions and then we both walked into the stores front doors.

Barks could be heard form one part of the room and birds chirping from another. The fish didn't seem to care we were hear since they all swam to a small hiding place in their tanks. Maddie seemed over joyed ad she ran around like a little kid. She went to see the dogs and they all barked happily, wagging their tales as she walked by looking at each one. She looked at all the birds and fish. Then she moved on to the reptiles and things like that. She spotted a spider and she stared at it for a few seconds. It was right by the glass and her face was up pretty close.

She watched as the slider didn't move at all. But once it did she screamed a small scream and dashed out of the area. I chuckled softly following after her. Not having a clue to where she went, I just looked through the whole store. But then I spotted a girl standing over a little cage. It was filled with little kittens. All of them having a different colour. I walked over and she looked up at me and had a huge smile on her face. "Which is your favourite?" I asked looking at all the little fluff balls in front of me.

"I love tee little cream coloured one. It looks like a mix of brown sugar and white sugar. Everything that makes a cupcake even sweeter," She said looking at me with amazement. "My dad always told me that. My hair was a mix of colour. He seemed to think it looked like a mix of brown and white sugar. That's how I got my nickname." She exclaimed with a small hint of excitement.

I stood up straighter and walked over to the front counter and asked for them to open the cage so she could get the one she liked most. Once I came back with the worker she looked a tad confused. Then she noticed what my plan was. She stood up waiting for the worker to unlock the cage and when she was she turned to me. "Your buying me a cat?" She asked, her eyes brighter and her smile huge. I nodded and she squeaked out a shout of happiness, jumping into my arms to give me a tight hug. I hugged back and the worker was done with the cage.

"When you have one picked out just come up to the front desk. We will have the adoption papers waiting." The women said stepping out of the way. Maddie keeled back down to the cage, picking up a kitten and cuddling to it softly. I smiled and she looked at me. "I am going to name it cupcake!" She declared as she stood up and walked towards the front desk. I chuckled following her as she walked with the small baby kitten in her arms. The one thing I couldn't help but notice was the kitten was only a few weeks old. But that didn't really matter. Maddie was happy with it. And so was I!

That was sweet! Harry got her a kitten, and she's naming it cupcake.

Purrrr say I would have named it Mr. KittenFluff but I guess beggars can't be choosers. Meow. Anyway I am tried as hell so I am going to leave you with this chapter! Meow.
