Maddie's POV

I was confused for the whole day. Completely unsure of what I was feeling. Me and Harry were only Best friends. Nothing else. But the feeling I felt. I was sure it meant something else. But I was more than likely to push it away. Plus I was not going to like anyone, since my mother was crazy and would likely make him agree to marry me.

I was somewhat surprised that my later hadn't planed anything like that yet. But I am pretty sure she was plotting something for me soon. But I was just over thinking everything. So I decided to take Perrie and Eleanor's offer up in helping decorate the gym for prom and grad. Mondays. Who knew they could be so boring yet buzzing with movement here and there.

I walked into the gym and noticed a loud laughter. Niall. I looked around the gym to find my Irish friend that I had somewhat came to become close with. He spotted his blonde and slightly brown like hair topped on his head as he threw it back in laughter. Once I spotted who he was laughing at I noticed the curly hair. He was laughing at harry. I walked over and asked then what was so funny. I noticed how Harry's face paled and Niall's laughter got louder and seemed that he was having trouble stopping himself.

"Maddie, I'll explain later." Harry said with a shaky voice. I nodded. "So I see Niall will be planning the snacks?" I asked and heard Harry's deep chuckle. Niall stopped laughing and glared at me. "Yes, yes I am. I am a food expert." He said and me and Harry burst into laughter. Niall joined us and we all calmed down after a few minutes.

"You guys are still creepy looking. With the same clothes, and shoes thing going on." Niall said as the laughter died down. I looked at Harry as he ran his hand through his Harry. "Who's that girl that Liam is talking to?" I changed the subject pointing to Liam and the girl he was talking to.

"Sophia. She's in his English class. Well not anymore but he likes her." Niall grabbed some lights. "You guys wanna help hang up some lights?" Niall asked as he dangled the lights in front of mine and Harry's face. "Anything for you Nialler." Harry said as he messed up Niall's hair. He smiled up at Harry and Harry smiled back down at him. They looked at me and then their smiles got bigger. I smiled back and joined them in hanging up lights.

For most of it we joked around and laughed. It was a lot more fun and Niall somehow managed to tangle himself up in lights from head to toe when me and Harry went to get a stepping stole. He was trying to jump around and get out f the lights but gave up and leaned by the wall in defeat. He was right by a plug in and so was the cord to light up the sting of lights. Harry walked over and plugged the lights in and Niall's whole body started to glow. I walked over to Niall and hugged him crooning to him. "My Niall is a Christmas tree!" Harry burst into fits if laughter and Niall ended up falling to the ground trying to get out of my embrace around him.

I on the other hand tripped over my own feet when Niall fell and ended up in Harry's arms. Our eyes met and It was a weird feeling that I felt when his arms had a tight hold around me.

Harry's POV

She was in my arms. The feeling of her touch sent a warm fire up my arm and all around my body. I felt it almost everywhere. Some places more then others and when are eyes met my heart skipped more then one beat. My breath stopped in my throat and I swear to the heavens above I couldn't talk.

"Uh? Can I get some help?" Niall's voice broke through the stare we both held and Maddie was out of my arms trying to help Niall untangle from the lights. I snapped out of the trance I was in and helped Niall out as well. Once he was untangled the bell rang and school was out. Maddie and I said good bye to Niall and he walked away toward his locker. Me and Maddie went to mine and grabbed are bags and then headed to my car.

"Harry, maybe we should talk? Or?" Maddie said trying to start on what was happening today. "We are both teenagers. It's completely normal." I said in a quite tone. She nodded looking out the window. "I didn't mean to, uh.. You know..." I tried explaining to her. She nodded again. "I understand Harry, but it's somewhat confusing. I jut don't understand." She mumbled towards me.

"What don't you understand?" I asked and she just shook her head. I didn't push her anymore on the subject. She seemed to confused as it is. And I knew I was confused as well. Knowing that I would stay up all night thinking about what happened in the hallway of the school.

I kept driving and reached for the radio nob turning it on and turning it up. I glanced at Maddie who was slightly tapping her hand on her thigh.

Once I pulled up to my house Maddie reached over to the back set to grab her bag. She got out without saying anything to me and walked in front of my car and then on to her yard and into her house. Once she closed the door my phone went off. I looked at the screen and saw her name. It was a text message from Cupcake Girl <3

I opened it and read it aloud.

From: Cupcake Girl <3

I'm sorry. Just not in a good mood right now.

I nodded to myself since she did say she was confused. I was to. I knew that I would be over thinking everything and just thinking about it. No matter what happened it was going to be on my mind. Somehow I knew it wouldn't leave my mind if I didn't thinking about it.

To: Cupcake Girl <3

It's okay.

I opened my car door and walked towards my house. I opened the door and I walked into my house. I heard my mothers laughter and someone else's. I walked into the living room and was greeted with my mother and Amanda.

"Hello! How was school? Where's Maddie?" Amanda asked as she saw me standing in the door way. I walked over and sat in the recliner. "She's at your people's house." I answered. She nodded. "So, how's the whole 'best friend' thing going?" My mother asked me. I just nodded. "Maybe you guys should go to prom together." Amanda said.

I was thinking about asking Maddie if she wanted to go to prom together but she would only want to go as friends. I really didn't want to go as just friends. I wanted to go as more. Now I was going to have to re-think the whole marriage thing.

"So do you want to marry Maddie?" Amanda asked. "I...I'm unsure." They both nodded. I sighed heavily. "It's just really confusing. I mean, it's just.." I sighed again. Amanda looked at my mother and they both smiled.

"Maybe your just confused because you want Maddie. But you know that she just wants to be friends," my mother said. "Maybe he is not just confused. But sexually confused?" She continued.

I looked at them in disbelief, but ended up sighing in defeat. Maybe my mother was right, that I did want her. I know I had feelings for her and I didn't mind marrying her anymore. I wouldn't mind anymore. I want her to love me and I want to love her. But I was unsure that that could happen.

I got up without saying a word to Amanda and my mother and walked to my room. I closed the door and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I played some music and ended up thinking about Maddie for the tenth millionth time.

~^~

I think this was a pretty good chapter! But I also have no clue on to it if it is... Anyway I am still having a shit-y time at the lake. I am so bored! Also I hate writing on noted because if I write in wattpad and I get home and try to update it from there, it will just delete all the chapters I wrote. And all the hard work I put into my chapters. Well anyway! Thanks for reading!
