Chapter 7 (just you and me)

|KEATON'S POV|

I feel like this rehearsal is taking forever. We only have an hour left before we go hang out with Annabelle and Liz! I try to stay focused while I'm here but I just can't. "Keaton! Hey! Did you hear me?" Wes shouts to me, I must have gotten too lost in my thoughts that I couldn't even hear Wes calling me.

"Oh sorry dude..I was just uhm...thinking." I say as I try to figure out what song we're on. "Yeah no prob. What are you thinking about?"

"Ahh...just you know um...the concert tomorrow I'm kinda getting nervous." I lie to him because I know he'll tease me for thinking about a girl I don't even know.

"It's okay dude I get nervous sometimes too but you just gotta get lost in the music and give it your all." Wes says trying to make me feel better. But the truth is I'm not nervous at all I love being on stage and performing, its just what I'm meant to do. What we're meant to do!

An hour later we leave the venue where we will be preforming tomorrow and head back to the hotel. On my way I text Annabelle eagerly to see if her and Liz are ready.

'Hey Anna it's Keaton just wondering if we're still hanging out today! :)'

Right away she replies, 'Yeah definitely. Where do you guys wanna go!'

'How bout we walk around and just look at the scenery. Then later stop by a restaurant ocean side!' I'm hoping she likes my suggestion. Is it to simple?

'Sounds great. :) meet us in the lobby when you get here ok.'

'Yup we'll be there in about 7 minutes!'

'Ok see ya when you get here!'

'see ya.'

I look up from my phone with a grin on my face and notice Drew looking at me. "Watcha lookin' at dude you keep smiling at your phone." Drew says with a chuckle.

"Oh I was just texting Annabelle what we're gonna do today!"

"Who's Anna?" Drew says confused.

"Oh right I didn't tell you, it's a girl I met at the hotel yesterday."

"Alright Keaton get it in!" Drew says laughing. I can feel my cheeks getting red.

"No no...it's not like that, Wes, her friend Liz and you are going with us we're all hanging out." I say feeling embarrassed.

"Why didn't anyone tell me? I really just wanted to relax in the hotel the rest of the day...you know just meditate and get my mind set for tomorrow's show."

"Oh well that's ok maybe some other time this week we can all go somewhere."

"SWEET!" Wes says looking at his phone excitedly. "What is it?" I say as Drew and I look over at him.

"The game is starting early tonight! Finally I get to watch it!" Wes says showing us the games play time. "Weeees you're supposed to hang out with me Liz and Annabelle tonight." My voice sounding disappointed and monotoned.

"I forgot...sorry dude but I'm not missing this game."

"I'm staying too I'll watch it with you!'' Drew says as he gives Wes a high five.

"Come on you guys we're supposed to be all going. They were looking forward to meeting you guys!"

"And we will. We can meet them and say hi in the lobby then chill some other time this week." Wes says trying to make up for the fact that they won't be there. "Fine whatever." I say turning to look out the window.

A few minutes later we pull into the hotel parking lot and our bus pulls into a spot. I quickly grab my guitar and get off the bus eager and nervous to see Annabelle. "Keaton slow down she'll still be there!" Wes says, they both laugh at me but I'm not to concerned.

When I walk into the lobby I see Annabelle and Liz sitting on the couches. "Hey!" Annabelle says getting up to greet me. Liz soon follows and gives me a hug."Hey Keats!'' Liz said as if she's know me her whole life which is cool I mean I guess that means she's a pretty cool person. Wes and drew walk into the hotel and Liz gasps and gives them the biggest smile I've ever seen. I can't help but laugh but I try and hold it in.

"Hi I'm Liz!" She's clearly not afraid of hugging people like she knows them because that's exactly what she does.

"Hey Liz I'm Wes and this is dr-"

"-I know who you are silly, I'm literally obsessed with your music!" Liz interrupts Wes in an overly excited manner. "Thanks!" Says Drew as he gives me the look. The look means 'why the hell is this girl flippin out', he deserves it for not wanting to go with us.

"So are you guys ready!" Liz asks. "They're not coming with us they wanted to relax before the concert tomorrow." I say trying to not hurt her feelings because its obvious that she was looking forward to it.

"Yeah we're just gonna stay and watch the pre season playoffs tonight." Drew says.

"Well if you're staying I'm staying too it'll be fun we can have our own little party in your room and Anna and Keaton can still go and hang out!"

Wait what!?!

I'm hoping they don't agree because I don't want to be completely alone with Annabelle...I mean, its not that I don't want to its just I'm really shy and I won't know what to say to her.

".....yeah why not it'll be sweet to have someone new to hang with. You and Anna can still go if you want Keats. Me Liz and drew are gonna stay and watch the game in our room see ya when you get back!'' Wes says as he leads the way to the elevator.

"Have fun Keats!" Drew says as he winks and points at me and Annabelle. Sometimes they are so annoying. I wave goodbye to them as they disappear into the elevator.

"Sooooo it's just you and me!" Annabelle says with a cute giggle.

"Yeah I guess it is, sorry if you wanted it to be a group thing." I say as I look at her sheepishly.

"No no it'll be fun just being the two of us!'' Annabelle reassures as she touches my hand then pulls away. "Let's go!" I say as I grab her hand and hold it gently as we leave the hotel.

A/N: That's the end of chapter 7 this one is kinda long and I would have kept writing but it's like 3 in the morning here and I need to go to bed lol.
