"Hey, [Name]?!" yelled one of your friends who also worked with you. She looked at you, " what do you want me to buy you?" she said looking back at you.
In the driver seat of the patrol, you looked to where she was. "Just get me [fav food]."
She nodded and headed to the fast food restaurant. The patrol was parked and it was dark, there were barely a few people around so trouble was the least that crossed your mind. Just around the corner you noticed a group of people but they didn't look suspicious so you let them be. Then the radio went on and you had been called. Just as in cue, your friend appeared and with two bad on her hand.
" Get in, we've been called." You informed and she got in.
Apparently, there was a man who had been attacked and you had to go and keep things under control. Your partner started eating what she ordered but stopped as soon as your destination was just up ahead. Once the car was parked, you got out and noticed that the ambulance was there already. You approached the victim who was being treated, his wound.
" Sir, we received a call that a man was being attacked. Is that you?" you asked taking a note-pad. He nodded. "Could you please tell me what happened." You continued, waiting for him to go on.
He swallowed and looked at his now bandaged arm. " I was just walking to the store when all of a sudden a woman approached me. She seemed a bit sick so I asked if she was alright." He took a deep bread. " She didn't answer so I...." he stopped and looked around like if the woman was about to attack him again.
The pencil on your hand stopped writing and stared at him, when he saw you watching him, you nodded. The was the sigh for him to continue.
"I grabbed her shoulder but she jumped on me and tried to bite me on the neck but I stopped her and pushed her. She fell and then she got up. It looked like she was crazy.She didn't talk and she made weird noces, like a wild animal. Then, she jumped on me again but this time she bit my hand." He showed you his hand. " Then I heard the police, someone might have called. They told her to stop but she attacked them and they had to use the force. It had no effect on her and...they had to shoot her. She was really violent that she even hurt herself." He finished with fear on his voice.
The notes were taken and you headed to the other police officers. One of then had been bitten on the neck and sadly he was taken to the hospital. That part, the man didn't tell you. Your partner was inspecting the corpse of the woman, so you approached her.
" Anything?" you asked and she was crouching, she had some gloves on.She looked at you." Look, it appears that this woman was bitten as well" she showed you a bite on her neck. The blood around it was darker than it should be.
" Are there any witnesses?" you asked a close by policeman.
He looked to be old for he had white hair. " Yes, they went to the police station along with the victim." He said, heading to his car.
And so, your job here was done. All you had to do was to make the report and give it to you new boss, who you hadn't met.
Your parner was looking at the notes when you heard that a lot attacks, just like this one were happening. " That's really strange, don't you think?" you asked looking at the road.
She stopped reading and looked at you. " Yeah, biting attacks? That's a bit strange, like you said. But I have no clue on what is happening." And she went back to what she was doing.
It was really dark and the report took so long to finish but once it was done, you headed to your new boss' office.
