"All done!" Cid yelled with enthusiasm. He jumped from inside of the bus and backed a bit, to look at his handiwork. He smirked. "Yep, that did it." He said it to himself.
"Yeah, that was a great idea, Cid." You complimented from your location which was from the van, you were placing some mash on the windows of the van. It was the last and didn't take too long to be done with all the vehicles. Everyone worked together which was great. It seemed that they were all in a good mood, even Kairy who was smiling next to Sora.
"Really? Thanks." He replied back scratching the back of his head. This wasn't his thing, he preferred ships but he had no other choice. Well, he was lying there, he did have a choice and that was you. He felt like wanting to do something to help you. It was so hard seeing you work hard to find a safe place for the group and yet didn't want anyone to help you because you were afraid that they would get hurt and that is something he valued. He had never found a girl who sacrificed so much to help others, and yet you were willing to die for his friends even if you didn't know them that well. So that was the reason on why he came up with the idea when he saw the bus, he had to say that he was lucky because the keys were there, which he had no trouble even if they weren't there, but the tank was full that's why he thought it would be good. He did what he did because he wanted to help you, which was scaring him. It wasn't the helping part that scared him the most, he had no trouble helping . It was what he was feeling. He had this feeling which he had never felt before, it wasn't the feeling that he felt for his friends nor the feeling he had for a brother or sister it was something else he didn't want to admit to himself.
He looked back at you and you were done and backed a bit to look at your work, just like he had done. He couldn't help but feel happy just seeing you smileHis heart skipped a bit and then he looked away, ashamed. How could someone as young as you love an old man? He shook his head and there was a sad look on his face.
"This is great, we can prepare things and get ready to leave." Your voice brought Cid from his thoughts. He looked around and just like he suspected, the boys were watching you with those eyes that showed adoration for you. How could he stand a chance with you with all this young lads around?
"Hey, guys!" it was a feminine voice. "Since we are done why don't we prepare something to eat, other than just caned food?" and when you looked around it was Tifa who was talking.
Naruto and Sora were the first to agree. " Yeah!" they both yelled in unison. You laughed feeling happy, it seemed that things were getting better.
"Alright! Who's up for the challenge?" Yelled Yuffie.
"I-I'll h-help" Hinata raised her hand shily.
"Count me in" You weren't going to stay behind, maybe you weren't the greatest cook but you would help with whatever they needed.
Tifa shook her head. "That's very nice of you but I think you should rest." She gave you a small smile.
"I'm f-" you were about to argue with her. You weren't tired and cooking was a hustle so why not help?But Yuffie didn't let you finish.
"No, you must feel very tired from walking!" she yelled in defiance, she wasn't going to let you help. She had other things in mind, she turned her head sideways and stopped until she saw Vincent and she smiled and gave him a thumbs up. He just shook his head but couldn't help but smile, slightly.
"Fine, but I'll go and look for some beverages and no one is going to stop me." You smiled victoriously. Yuffie pouted.
"Then would the lovely lady allow me to escort her?" It was Balthier. He stepped forward and smiled warmly.
You shrugged. "Sure."
"Hey, count me in!" Zack and Reno yelled. Like they would let you go alone with him.
