A/N For new readers make sure you go and start with Omega Rose RWBY Fanfiction and go through its series to understand what is going on.

A/N Welcome to the Shattering Saga's first book. Please note when Maidens of depravity is finished this will be the work that I work on the most. Until then enjoy the mystery of the prologue as things will pick up pretty fast.

Ruby Rose's POV

The rush of air as I swept my crimson like blood and black as pitch scythe named Crescent Rose around slashing through the dark fur of the beowolves their blood red eyes showing pain before starting to dissipate.

I felt like absolute crap as I killed the beowolves desecrating the graves of my family and one special friend. The graves stood on the hillside there used to only be one that I visited now there was four. One stood in front of the others. The deep stone giving off the cold of the air.

The symbol of a previous teammate that loved my brother was laid to rest. Her name Blake Belladonna was written with a phrase Omega used to describe her to me before they started dating.

'Black as a jaguar as cuddly as a calico. Your icy heart will melt.

"Blake. I know why you had to do what you did. The sacrifice you made will forever be told through the generations. Your people will have freedom when this is done." I looked down with my hood over my face hiding the tears as I left the black roses near her grave.

Moving toward the back as the wind bit into my exposed skin I went to the Omega's grave next. The deep dark stone that made the trees themselves behind them weep tears of sakura blossoms. The words written on his grave were words mom used to describe him.Was recently added to give depth to the writing above it.

'Fallen Immortals seeks what that lost. Omega sought out love and in the end he got it. Best big brother and son.' Below that read what Mom used to describe him.

'Little rose you are the last to seek summer's heat.'  This brought back the memories of the good times we had. Omega helping me forge Crescent Rose. Omega taking care of me and Yang as we grew up when Dad could barely take the loss of mom. Omega almost losing his life to save me from a fall from a cliffside as he flipped me onto his stomach taking the impact.

His weapon Blood Rose stood next to his grave. Its blade glinting as if to say hello and I love you as Omega would if he could.

Leaving red roses as I went toward the left to Yang's grave. The deep crimson of her tombstone was highlighted with yellow to empathize summer. The words beneath her grave still brought back fun times and made me cry.

'Beauty burns Gold like a sun that has turned supernova. Yang was always on the edge of becoming supernova but we loved her regardless.'

The rose offering that I left was a deep yellow to honor Yang.

Next came the one that never felt right even since the beginning. Mom's grave. I could barely remember her as she died when I was so young. Growing up without you was hard.

'Summer Rose thus kindly I scatter.' This feeling as I read the words aloud made the tears stop. I was not alone. The power radiated within me steering me to hurry.

"Thanks mom for protecting us even in the end. I will use your power to guide the world into a better place." I turned around only to hear the growling of Beowolves.

The moon overhead unbeknownst to anyone was shattering more causing the Grimm to grow stronger.

This I must stop.
