Jenna's POV-

I went to dinner with Jess and Sarah, and we had a nice time. But then Sarah said she had to leave, and I didn't believe one word she said.

I remembered to kick her butt for that later. "So how are you liking Warped Tour this year?" she asked.

"I like it." I said. Not as much as I like you, I wanted to say. But I didn't. "Yourself?"

"I like it. But I just want to get away sometimes, you know?" she asked, playing with her straw.

"We are away." I laughed.

"Yeah, but only two minutes." she laughed.

"Well, where would you go if you did get away?"

"I wouldn't want to go alone." she said. "How about you go with me?"

"Alright." I said. "Where do you want to go?"

"I'm not sure. How about the beach?"

That gave me an idea. We were in Florida, thankfully. After dinner, the bus picked us up. I whispered to the driver to take us to the beach.

When we pulled up, she asked, "Where are we?"

"The beach." I said. I handed a pair of shorts and a tank top to her. "Jeans and a t-shirt won't be very comfy." I said, going to the bedroom to change. I came back and she went to change. We got off the bus and the wind brushed across my face. I closed my eyes and took in this feeling. Jess poked me. I laughed and we walked along water, talking about life and happiness.

"So do you have anyone special back in Australia?" she asked. "Any relationships?"

I sighed. I had a boyfriend, Davie. "Yeah." I said. "I had a boyfriend back in Australia. Davie."

"How come that didn't work out?"

"Davie and I dated in high school. I had a couple boyfriends before Tonight Alive got big, but we met when we were touring in Australia. We went to different schools, so we didn't see each other often. When Tonight Alive took off, I kept in touch with him and after being away from home for so long, my friends told me he had been cheating on me. I'm not the type of girl that doesn't believe my friends when they tell me that, I listened and didn't call them jealous or anything. I asked Davie about it, and he said it was his twin brother Nick that did it. Since he did have a twin brother I believed him. We toured for those two years, and when we had some time off, Davie got kicked out of his house so my family let him stay with us since our families were always close. He slept in a different room, of course. I woke up one morning to see a note saying the moving company would be there to pick up his stuff, and not to call him."

"Jenna, that's terrible."

"No, it's alright. I learned from it. One of the songs on our new record is about it, actually. I later learned from Nick that Davie did cheat on me, and that he hadn't gone out with a girl recently because of college."

"So have you talked to Davie since then?"

I sighed. "Yeah, I have. I wrote another song on our record about that experience." I laughed.

"Hey, I understand what you mean. I don't sing or anything but I did write a couple songs for the band and I understand how personal they can be, and how much they can mean to you. On our last record I wrote about half of 7 Days, because Caroline and I had been on and off and always arguing. Brian wrote the other half about a girlfriend he had had. I remember one night I was sitting around, bored after Caroline and I had an argument, and I wrote part of our song Maybe Tonight. I wrote the chorus, and I brought it to Brian and said I really think we should record it. Every single one of us wrote part of it, and we're really proud of it. I wrote it about starting over and wondering what it'd be like if it actually was the first day of my life--and how maybe I would find someone better for me than Caroline."
