Chapter 1 - The Letter

It was the day before my 16th birthday, i was so excited everyone had been talking about this party for weeks and I couldn't wait. it was going to be amazing.

I couldn't wait to show all my friends the new house we had just moved into, it was located In the small town of Holmes Chappell in Cheshire. My parents weren't my real parents I had been adopted by a lovely but wealthy couple who's names were Andrea and Gary at the age of six after my mother gave me up at birth when she couldn't look after me. I always got told my father was abusive towards her.

Just as I got up off of the to head to the kitchen I heard the letter box clatter, I made a beeline for the front door and pulled the brown envelope carefully out of the letter box.

I studied the address and studied the delicate caligraphy, it was hand writing I didn't recognise, then i realised it had been sent to me. .

I took the letter and immediately studied the envelope carefully, not wanting to damage what was inside the fragile brown envelope, but curiously studying what could be inside, I set the letter on the marble counter and pushed it aside.
