Chapter 6 - A Breakthrough

Peyton's POV

I finally brought myself to read the letter that was in the envelope along with the cards and pictures, I didn't know what to expect I couldn't remember much about my mum and I had many unanswered questions.

With Kyle at my side I carefully pulled the letter out of the envelope it was hand written and had a coffee stain in the bottom left hand corner, I picked it up and started to reading it aloud.

* The letter *

Dear darling,
If you are reading this letter you will have just turned 16, I have spent many days thinking about you since you were adopted ten years ago.

The reason that another couple adopted you Is because of your farther, he was abusive towards both of us and as your mother I couldn't put you at risk.

I never stopped loving you and always sent you birthday cards each year hoping you would receive them. It may be too soon for you to get to grips with things but I would love to meet up with you one day to have a chat, hopefully i can give you all the answers you want.

I didn't know what to say I was still in shock knowing that mum had thought about me every day and knowing that she could provide me with the answers to so many questions. it was such a breakthrough, but is sure as hell left me thinking...

Should I meet up with her?
