Josh and I were walking from his car into my apartment getting ready to practice some of the songs we want to sing for the concert.
"So, what song do you want to start with?" I asked him as we each picked up our guitars and got ready to play and sing.
"Let's start just singing through a couple songs." He suggested.
"So, which song should we start with." I stated again glancing at him smiling a little.
He laughed at me. "Well, what's your favorite duet that a guy and girl sing?" He asked me.
"Probably... Say Something." I said.
"Lucky you, I know how to play that on the guitar." He winked at me. I looked away so he wouldn't see me blush.
He started playing the introduction. "Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'll be the one if you want me to
Anywhere I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you."He stared at me in the eyes while he was singing. They were so captivating.
"And I... am feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all
And I... will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I... will swallow my pride
You're the one that I love
And I'm saying goodbye
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
And anywhere I would've followed you (Oh-Ooh)
Say something, I'm giving up on you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
Say something..." It felt more like we were singing to each other than just practicing."That's... That's definitely a possibility." He mumbled.
"Yeah." I said quietly. We stared at each other for a moment before he cleared his throat. "So, what were you thinking about singing?" I asked him.
"I was thinking that maybe we could sing... Let Her Go? The version that Boyce Avenue and Hannah Trigwell sing." He mumbled still looking a little dazed.
"Sure... Let's try that."
We strummed the introduction of it.
"Only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
You only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go
And now you staring at the bottom of your glass
Hoping one day you'll make a dream last
The dreams come slow and they go so fast
And you see you when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you'll understand why
Everything you touch surely dies
But you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
You only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go
Staring at the ceiling in the dark
Same old empty feeling in your heart
'Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast
Well you see you when you fall asleep
But never to touch no never to keep
'Cause you loved her too much
And you dived too deep
But you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
You only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go ohhh
You let her go ohhh
You only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
You only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missin' home
Only know you love her when you let her go"When he sang his last verse he looked so deep into thought.
"That was great." I whispered.
"Yeah... so what duet are you and Alan singing?" He asked me curiously.
"Oh... Haven't really thought about it... We were going to talk about it tonight. What song are you and Marissa singing?" I asked trying not to sound bitter about it.
"Oh, well I'm suppose to ask you if you want to do a trio, Last Kiss by Taylor Swift the cover by Boyce Avenue with Meg and Liz."
"Oh, yeah, I love that song. It's so beautiful with the three part harmony."
"Yeah, she wants to practice at my place on Sunday afternoon if that works for you?"
"Oh, yeah, totally."
"Well I have to go. The guys want to practice Footloose."
"Oh, you guys will kill it." I said and he smiled at me making me week at my knees.
"Yeah, I hope so." I smiled back at him. We both stood up and he backed me into a wall and I sucked in a deep breath.
"You have a beautiful voice." He whispered putting his hand on my cheek, rubbing his thumb over my cheekbone.
"Thanks," I whispered. "So do you."
"You know what's even more beautiful than your voice?" He whispered his hot breath fanning over my face.
"What?" I whispered as his hand landed on my hip squeezing it softly pushing himself closer to me.
"You." He whispered in my ear making me shiver and I shuddered.
He leaned down to kiss me and as soon as our lips were about to touch, Maya and Riley came bursting in the door.
"Hey guys--" Maya said before she and Riley froze.
"Are we interrupting something?" Riley asked me.
"Ah, no. I was just leaving. Bye guys."
"Bye." We all echoed as he left.
There was three things on my mind for the rest of the night. One, Josh called me beautiful. Two, we almost kissed. Three, I was pretty sure I was falling in love with this boy.
Sorry for not updating! I've been really busy lately! I'm going to try to update more often! :)
A couple things. When Kiley and Josh sing Say Something I pictured them singing the Boyce Avenue and Carly Rose Soneclar version.
I also changed the theme to Pop. There will still be some Glee versions in there but it would be to hard for the solos so I just made it Pop.
