When I got to the Middle School I composed myself a little more. Uncle Corey told me that Dad had told him that I was going to be leaving school early.

When I walked into Uncle Corey's room, everyone was getting ready for History. He smiled at me.

"Class today, we have a guest, some of you know her, but this is Kiley Hunter. She's going to be helping me out today." Everyone smiled at me.

"Today, we will be brainstorming people in history who have have told people the truth no matter how hard it has been. Any ideas, anyone?" Corey asked the class.

Farkle, Lucas, and Riley raised their hands.

"Lucas?" Corey called on him.

"Martin Luther King Jr."

"Correct. Riley? Kiley? Could you write these names on the board for me please?"

"Sure." I picked up the piece of chalk and wrote down his name.

"George Washington."

"Right, anyone else? Farkle?"

"Franklin Roosevelt."

Corey nodded his head before calling on a sullen looking Maya. "Maya? They don't have to be a president or involved in a political/society movement."

"I don't know Mr. Matthews, how about Bob Marley? He told the truth in his music all the time."

I glanced at Corey before putting his name on the board. "Why is it important to tell the truth even when it's hard?" Corey asked the class. "Riley?" Riley stayed quiet and he sighed before calling on Farkle.

"What if Juliet had never told Romeo that she was in love with him." I realized what Riley was going through. She was hurting because she loved Lucas but he was dating her best friend. I realized that I was going through the same thing because I wasn't telling Josh that I liked him because I knew that one of my best friends like him.

"What if it backfires?" Maya said out loud.

"What if something great comes from it?" Lucas voiced.

"What if it means you're hurting some of the people you love most?" Riley asked.

"That's for you to decide, isn't it? Is it worth it?" Farkle told her.

"Alright guys. That's all I have for you today. See you all later. Have fun at lunch."

When everyone left it was just Lucas, Riley, Maya, and Farkle. "What time's your concert next week, Kiley?" Corey asked me.

"7. It's going to go until like 10 I think."

"Can we please go Dad?" Riley asked practically begging him to let them go.

"Yes, we can go to her concert."

"Well, that's great! I'll see you guys there. I think I'm just going to go home and get ready for the concert."

"Bye!"

When I got home I realized what I needed to do.
