Chapter 24 { War of Change }

It's a truth that in love and war,

Months after the wedding, the land turned to a cold hell.

World's collide and hearts get broken,

It was now Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanzaa/etc time of year. Celebrating took place in another Boxing Club.

I want to live like I know I'm dying,

Sage was the Champion as always. The camp was fed up with it. Mainly Riley was up settled by Sage's winnings. No one had lost to her. The only one who could beat her never had to take part, most people were out with family, including the Shadow family

Take up my cross, not be afraid.

Well everyone was taking part, Quantum stepped aside and took a short walk to clear her head. Archer and Christine soon followed, they gave each other a petty glare and continued to go after Robin.  

Is it true what they say, that words are weapons?

Archer and Christine both foolish fought over Quantum, both hearts set on their leader. They would fight ever over slight rumour.

And if it is, then everybody best stop steppin',

They watched as Quantum's breath became more rapid. Then they raced over when Quantum doubled over in pain.

Cause I got ten in my pocket that'll bend ya locket,

When Archer tried to help Quantum up, Christine noticed Quantum was gripping a locket that blue mist erupted from.

I'm tired of all these rockers sayin' come with me,

Christine and Archer urged Quantum to get up and go to the medical area, but she would not go.

Wait, it's just about to break, its more than I can take,

The locket was just about to break, it then made them realize what was so important about this locket. It was a shield and that shield was about to break.

Everything's about to change,

When the shield broke, the misery started. There stood Corruption in the corpse of Robin's father. Next to him stood an enemy of Riley's, Colena, next to her was Archer's brother. Both looked possessed, but enjoyed it.

I feel it in my veins, its not going away,

"Go away." Quantum tried to yell, but the blood on her lips made her spit her words away on the gravel.

Everything's about to change.

Quantum knew this meant nothing good. HE WAS CORRUPTION AFTER ALL. This meant change. Everything is about to change.

It creeps in like a thief in the night,

Like the thief in the night got to Quantum, another wave of pain came crashing down.

Without a sign, without a warning,

Then another and another. Only half of this pain was Corruption's fault, the other half was her own body, her own bodily power ready to kill her. Not kill her, erase her.
