We paused dead in our tracks. The man in front looked scared.
"You haven't dealt with this before have you?" I asked.
"Shut up! Stay quiet!" He barked. The man looked to be the same age. He were a flannel shirt and pants that looked new. A lot better than the ripped clothes we had.
"Look, I'm sorry but we have a bigger problem." Jillian said as a cockroach ran around the corner. A bunch more with it. I aimed my revolver and shot but they kept moving too fast.
"Trevor duck!" Yelled a female voice. Trevor, confused, ducked as fast as possible as an arrow went through a cockroach mid air. Trevor got up looking startled. I kept shooting but they kept getting closer and closer. All of a sudden I was thrown into the group as a woman ran past me with a bow.
"Hey!" I yelled. She didn't listen. She kept sticking the roaches with arrows with incredible speed. The group moved forward and I couldn't see anymore. Seconds later Trevor and Jillian were by me. Gunshots and the sound of cockroaches rung through the air. Minuets later they were done. The group turned around and the woman with the bow walked through.
"Hey." She said. Me, Trevor, and Jillian's jaws dropped.
"Trinity.." Trevor said. They ran too each other and hugged. She then came and hugged me and Jillian. Trinity was an old friend. We kept in touch every now and then and she visited sometimes.
"I can't believe I found you cousin" She said.
"I didn't think I'd see you again" Trevor said. A tear ran down his cheek.
"Well after I got my group of delinquents I came this way to find you. Was it just you guys the whole time?" She asked. We looked down. I saw Jillian wipe her eyes.
"Sorry," she said. "I know how you feel." She patted Trevor's back and looked at us with sympathy.
"We have a lot of supplies. Food to feed us all." Jillian said with a smile.
"I don't want anything from them" said a man in the group.
"Shut up Donovan. We need food." She yelled at a man in the group.
"Well we need somewhere to stay first." I said.
"What about there" Trinity said pointing at a tall building in the distance.
"Looks like a hotel" said Jillian.
"Let's go then." I said.
Once we got there we could tell people have been there before. It looked like they have been throwing stuff out of the windows to hit cars. Someone even threw an air conditioner.
"Guys. Go in with caution. There is four floors, so I'll take the top with you four." She said pointing at four girls in the group.
"Trevor, Tyler, Jillian, Donovan, and Derek. You take second floor." She continued.
"Why do I have to go with them." Said Donovan. "How can we even trust them" he added getting in my face.
"Because your gonna make nice or get an arrow between the eyes. Besides I can trust my cousin and friends."
"Ugh" he groaned backing up.
"Ok Amy you take Juliet, Rob, Caleb, and Brandon to the third floor." She ordered.
"Rest of you cover the entrance and first floor. Ready set go!" She said and we all piled in...
