Mel's POV:
I was having a lot of trouble zipping up my suitcase. It wouldn't budge.
" Margy!" I called.
And there came Margy my golden retriever. I gestured my hand over the suitcase and he sat on it. I tried to zip it up and it worked.
" thanks Margy. " I pet his head.
I rolled my suitcase down the stairs and made myself some breakfast. I ate a ham and cheese sandwich grilled. If Mary were here, she would make me make her like ten sandwiches.
RING RING RING
"hello?" I answered.
" I'm here please come outside. " said Steven.
" alright " I hung up.
I pit my suitcase in his trunk and brought my sandwich with me to the front seat.
" excuse me?" he asked.
" what?" I asked taking a bite out of my sandwich.
" no eating in my car. " he defended.
" but you let Mary eat in your car!" I protested.
" but she's Mary and I love her. "
I rolled my eyes. Joshua sat in the back seat. Still mad at me looking out the window wearing headphones and listening to music. I sighed.

" the campus is huge" said Joshua.
" I already memorized it. " grinned Steven.
" do you have a life?" asked Joshua.
"no he's hermit. " I answered for him.
" I'm going to call Mary. " he dialed Mary , as if we were scared of her.
" Mary! Mel and Joshua are harassing me!" he exclaimed.
" yeah yeah yeah, I love you too. " he hung up.
" what did she say?" asked joshua.
Steven stayed silent.
" hmm?"
" she said that she can't do anything so far away. "
Steven is such a weird child. Mary can do so much better, in my opinion.

All of the upcoming freshmen stood in the main entrance awaiting their keys and room numbers.
" Steven Soksky and Joshua Suh you have room 309. "
" Marina Cho and Mel Kim you have room 208"
I went on and tried to find marina. Then I saw her raising her hand. They handed each of us a key as we went up to our future room without a word.
" so I guess we are roomates?" she said trying to break the ice.
" yeah" I nodded.
Our room was white throughout and there were two twin beds. It was like the room was split in half.
" what bunk do you want?" she asked.
" doesn't matter to me"
She took the left and I took the right. I put all my things away in the drawers and got ready for dinner.
