Our "Friends" Up North (13)

The rest of the week went by and I had a lot of fun. I got to know a lot of the girls on my team and they got to know me. But today it was all business, we were playing Canada. There were going to be three games. U-17, U-20, and the senior level. Both Rydel and I were playing in the U-20 game and it was going to be a rough match. I mean we're both forwards so we shouldn't run into each other that much. We've played each other before and we're both competitive. I haven't seen her since the break and I was kinda excited to see her again. We were all on the field warming up and we haven't said a word to each other but we keep starring at each other. Nadya comes over and sees us looking at each other.

"So are you going to speak or just stare?" Nadya ask.

We both smirk before giving each other a hug. They have us on the huge screen hugging each other and the crowd cheers.

"Have a good game." I say.

"Yeah you too, your going to need it for when I kick your ass." Rydel says.

"Oh I think you forgot that I'm the one who does the ass kicking." I say.

"Well we'll see." 

"Oh yes we will."

We both walk back over to our sides of the fields and continue warming up. Since we're playing 3 games which are 90 minuets each the U-17 games starts at 11 am. They're a few minuets away from kick off and the team that aren't playing have a section marked off. So at the moment I'm sitting next to Ash and Kelley. Both teams walked out to the field for lineups. Names were said anthems were sung and then the game begun. The first few minuets of the game were spent keeping the ball out of your own half. There weren't many decent shots on goal but the ones that were the keepers made the save. The first half ended 0-0. Cam and Ethan came to this game I went to go find them during halftime. It wasn't that hard considering there were a bunch of girls around them. Security came over and lead Cam and Ethan to where we were sitting. Cam sat by Ash and Ethan sat by Kelley.

"So does that happen everywhere you go?" Kelley ask.

"Pretty much." The both say.

A few of the fans behind us were screaming Cam and Ethan's names which made the whole team laugh. The second half started and Canada came out rough. They ended up scoring a goal so now it was 1-0. But we weren't going to give up that quick because we came right back the score is now 1-1. The shots were sharper and the saves were amazing. When the game ended the score was 1-1. A tie is good but we all know a win is better. There's a 45 minuet intermission between each game and we already have our training kits on so we get on the field and start warming up. Before I get on the field Mom and Carli call me over, Jackson was sitting with them.

"Hey play your best." Carli says.

"Always." I say.

"Do you have on sunscreen?" Mom ask.

"Yes." I say.

"No you don't!" Syd yells.

"When I put it on it gets in my eyes and it burns. On top of that I don't get burnt." I say.

"We can do this the hard way or easy way." Mom says.

I was thinking about running but before I got the change Tobin and Ash held me in the seat while Mom rubbed sunscreen into my face. Everyone in the stands started laughing and I didn't know why until Cam pointed to the huge screen. Of course they're showing Mom rubbing the sunscreen into me while Ash and Tobin hold me. When they're finally done I run onto the field and get into place with my team. Coach French said we're playing a 5-3-2 so
