Day 1:
So I woke up in the morning and I got all my things before heading out to meet up with everyone at Amanda's house. When everyone was there we went and got on the bus that we all rented. Shane had brought his brother who brought some of his friends and they were going to be the ones driving. We all went into the back and claimed bunks before chilling in the living room and getting know know Shane's brother friends. It was a 18 hour drive so we headed out around midnight. We all had our parents agree to let us skip school so we could head out on Friday because if w would have waited we would have missed Day 1. Anyway when we got on the road it was pretty empty so we got to Portland pretty quick where we stopped and it was now 3 am. We did what we needed to do changed drivers and got back on the road. We picked up food and some games to play. We didn't stop again until we got to Sacramento and it was 11 am. We finally got there around 6 pm so yeah we were pretty late but oh well. When we got there we found our spot and parked the bus. Shane's brother, Kevin went with his friends somewhere and we did the same. It wasn't completely dark, the sun was just setting. We went and looked around at the different people preforming and had a lot of fun. Around 1 am we headed back to the bus.
"Where is your brother?" Amanda ask.
"Um he and his friends got invited to a party and he texted don't wait up." Shane says.
We all call it a night and head to bed.
Day 2:
I'm woken up the next morning by somebody shaking me, I open my eyes and its Amanda.
"What do you want?" I ask.
She pushes me over and climbs in next to me.
"Your the only other girl here." Amanda says.
She lays her head on my stomach and has her legs out of the bunk.
"What about Heather, Mary, and Ashley?" I ask.
"There Kevin's friends and they all also have hangovers." Amanda says.
"Okay, what time is it?" I ask.
"Its 11 am I want you to come and get ready and have breakfast with me." Amanda says.
"Okay, I'm coming." I say.
Amanda gets off of me and I get out of my bunk. We wake everyone up so we can get ready to go. So I know what your thinking your on a bus how in the hell are you guys going to take a shower. Well here's the thing Kevin has a few friends who also came but they didn't want to get a bus. They flew and booked a hotel room which we're all going to go take a shower at. One of them came in their car and picked us up and are driving us back to their hotel. It took about 2 hours but everyone eventually got in the shower and now we're all heading back to the festival. We drop our bags off at the bus and we all go our separate ways. We meet a few kids around our age and hung out with them all day. We got invited to a party and a hotel and we went. It was a pool party so its not like we were in someone's room. On top of the the hotel's pool was outside and it was huge. We got back to the bus pretty late and basically passed out.
Day 3:
So its the last day here at Coachella and I'm kind of upset. I like the vibe here its chill relaxed and everyone just wants to have fun. We did the normal routine in the morning and headed in for the rest of the festival. Before we came back we had stopped at 7 eleven and got slurpees. While we were dancing mine spilled on the person in front of me.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I say.
"No no no, its okay." She says.
I recognize the voice and look up.
"Mal?" I ask.
"Rylee?" She ask.
"Hey." I say.
"Hey." She says.
"I'm sorry about your shirt."
"Its fine."
She just takes the shirt off and is left in a bralette crochet top.
"Who are you here with?" I ask.
"Some of my friends from back home." She says.
"Do you wanna hang out?"
"Yeah."
I wanted to talk to her so we leave the tent and just walk around looking at all the different things going on.
"So why do I keep running into you?" I ask.
"Well I'm from Colorado but my dad moved us so we could be closer with my mom. She works in Seattle and moved there because of work related reasons. We stayed with him until my mom was able to get everything set up in Seattle. My friends and I already planned on coming to Coachella so here I am." Mal says.
"So your living in Seattle now?" I ask.
"Yup." She says.
We continue to walk and talk about random crap until we find our friends again. We all get to know each other and hang out at what ever stage's music sounded the best. I think this was the latest we've stayed out since we've been here. It was Monday and we wanted to watch the sun set so we all sat on this mountain in silence and watched it rise. The bus pulled up and we all stood up and made our way down the mountain. We all said our goodbyes.
"I'll see you in Seattle." I say.
"Okay." She says.
We all load up and make our way back home. We didn't really sleep so we all go back to our bunks and knock out. When we got back home it was 7 pm, we all got dropped off at Amanda's house. I drive over here and Amanda's parents were cool enough to let us park our cars in their garage. So after I said goodbye to everyone and got in my car and went home. I left my bags in the car because I didn't feel like taking them out and went into the house. I walked in and all the lights were off but the TV in the living room was on. I walked in and saw Carli and Jackson sleep, Jackson's head was on Carli's chest and her arms were wrapped around him.
"They're cute huh?" Mom ask scaring the shit out of me.
"Yeah." I say.
"Did you have fun?" She ask.
"Yeah." I say.
We both go upstairs and go to our rooms. I go in my room and change my clothes, I was going to get in my own bed but I went into Mom's room and got in the bed with her. She wrapped her arms around me kissed my forehead and we went to sleep.
