I left that awful building, filling with anger.
The kind of anger that makes you want to cry.
I stopped in my tracks as I heard footsteps running after me.
"Violet! Violet! Stop! Just wait!" The voice said, catching its breath.
I turn to to see Hudson Miller running after me.
"How'd you know my name", I asked surprised.
"Your Violet. We've know each other for years", he stated.
"Well you sure haven't talked to me in years", I said laughing.
"But I'll talk to you now", he said stopping me.
I looked at him.
"Listen, I know you think I'm a jerk, because I am, but I'm sorry", he exclaimed.
"Sorry for what?" I asked.
"Sorry for standing around for three years", he told me.
"Well if you're sorry, then why didn't you do something?" I ask him.
"I didn't know how to. But I do now", he said.
"I'm here to help you", he reassured.
"Well I don't need help", I started.
Why don't you go back to your normal life with your girlfriend and the football team, and don't get involved in mine", I tell him.
"I don't have a girlfriend and football is just a sport. It's not important", he tells me.
"Well there's a lot you don't know about me", I told him.
"Well, just tell me. I have time", he said grabbing my wrist and bringing me to a bench.
"Fine", I groan.
"Well for starters, I get six hours of sleep and whatever food my parents don't eat. Or I call them that anyway.
"What do you mean by 'I call them that anyway'?" He asks.
My mom tells me how useless I am everyday and my dad shows me physically", I admit.
"Everyday?" He questioned.
"Twice, depending on what mood they're are in", I say.
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry. I wish I could of helped you sooner" he says with a sad look on his face.
"So tell your buddies think before they say", I spit at him.
He looks at the ground.
"Ok for now on I'll protect you from anything, and anyone. Ok?" He asked.
"Ok. But make sure you know what you're getting yourself into", I aware him.
"Anything else I should know?" He asks.
"Umm" I pause for a minute.
"I want to see the ocean", I tell him.
"Uhh..I could take you right now, it's 3 miles away.
"No. I need to go there alone. When I go I will feel free. All my problems will fade away with the waves", I tell him.
"Ok?" He says questioning me. "Oh, I have to go! See you later! Remember I'll be here", he said hugging me.
Then he left.
