Some one told me to stay away from things that aren't mine.{a/n sorry I'm a hardcore Melanie Martinez fan}
"Hey, where are you going?" Hudson asked as I left for the library.
"The library", I informed him.
"You're not gonna eat?" He asked.
"No" I say.
"Why not?" He asks.
"My parents can't afford it. If I do get lunch, they yell at me. And, I don't like anyone in there", I admit.
"You can put it on my bill and we can sit together. Okay?" He suggests.
I nod.
We find a empty table in the lunch room and it's not that bad.
I scarf down the food like it was the first meal I've eaten that week.
In fact, it was.
"Is it good?" He asks.
I nod while laughing.
Out of the corner of my eye I see one of the popular girls in my school come over.
"Hey, Hudson!" She says scooting really close to him.
He doesn't say anything.
"So why are you sitting with the girl who never talks?" She says with a smirk on her face.
She says it it to him, but loud enough for me to hear.
"I'm sitting with her because she's nice. You wouldn't know that because you judge a book by its cover", he tells her.
"But you could do so much better. I can make you happy" she tells him leaning closer.
"It's not about me. It's about her. And in fact, I am happy", he admits and I smile.
"Wow! She actually can show emotion?!" She says.
"Yeah, she can. All you can do is bring people to your level", he tells her.
She gets up to leave and shoots him a nasty glare.
She gives me a fake smile.
"Thank you" I tell him.
"What she said wasn't true. I can't do better than you. I don't want to do better", he says.
