He said he would protect me, but would he really?

He could save me from everyone but not everything.

Walking into that building today, would feel different.

Especially after Hudson talked to me.

The normal 'popular' group was where they always were.

Resting against the walls, pretending  to be better than everyone else.

Hudson was next to Landon, like always, and we made eye contact.

"So today are we going by our normal routine?" Landon asked.

I roll my eyes.

"Come on, just leave her alone", Hudson said, which surprised me.

"Why should we leave her alone, Hudson?", He questioned.

"You've alone been bullying her for the past three years", he stated.

"Why not bully her for three more?" He asked like he always does.

"Because it's messed up", I interrupt.

"Oh, she speaks", he says.

Everyone is laughing expect for Hudson and I.

"I hope you don't treat your girlfriend like that", I spat.

He instantly pushes me against the usual wall and I heat my head.

Hudson punches him and hits him a few times.

"What is wrong with you!?!?" He yells at his face.

They both get up and they're facing each other.

"The question is why are you protecting her!?" He asks.

"Because it needs to stop! Don't you see what it does to her?!?" He yells.

Landon looks at Hudson disgusted as he leaves.

I'm behind them terrified from just happened.

He comes over to me and helps me up.

"Are you okay!?!" He asked scared.

I nod.

The bell rings and we begin to go to our first period class.

"Told you I'd do something", he tells me.

I laugh at him.
