Chapter 6: Family Fight

They didn't realised he was there none of them did except me. Brent stepped up and took his stand, shielding Cali from his sight and I could tell he was shaking, Brent that is, I didn't know if it was because he was growling or he was scared, either way it made my dad laugh. After he was done he stood straight with no sign of seriousness he didn't need to he was way taller then them both and much stronger, I stood in front of the two pups that were only a day younger then me (by scent). Dad looked past Brent and Cali and took stare at me. We had no resemblance but he had my scent on him, well, barely but it was on there. Brent stood stronger, shook more, and went closer. He was defending me? Why me? Why not their two little pups? Why am I a big deal? I didn't think of it much after those questions but it was still in my head. Then dad was stern and barked in order

"SOLLEN!" he knew my name? He knew my name! Wait I gave myself that name cause mom said it, she was referring to me, that was my name! But still, what did it mean? Cali looked at Brent and Brent looked at Cali then all eyes went on me when I realised I was probability gonna get hurt because i left the tree, that thought left my head down, ears pinned, and whimpering. I started slowly walking to him while every one else even the pups was shocking on awe, not the good awe but the bad kind of awe. When I reached him he gave a bad and evil kind of smile then he bit me on me muzzle like he did before, I thought he loved me, no. Every one was shocking and Cali howled in pain because she couldn't bare seeing me or any pup for that matter get hurt. Brent was about to attack him when I stopped him with my please-don't-get-yourself-hurt eyes, then looked at dad to see what he says, of coarse he said something,

"SOLLEN! I told you to stay at the tree!"

I lowered my head but still looked up to read more

"Now I'm gonna take you BACK to the tree and this time YOUR GOING TO STAY THERE! Understand!?!?!?!?!"

I nodded my head

"I want to hear you!"

I whispered "I'll stay at the tree"

"WHAT!"

I said louder "I'll stay at the tree"

"Good" Cali was now freaking out about the abuse i was going through, Brent was on the edge of killing him, and the pups were sobbing seeing how good their lives are to some people or wolves.

Dad snarled at me and picked me up by my neck, I remember how gentle Brent was when he did that. I didn't like it and a squirmed, I must have annoyed him cause a throw me to the wall like I was a toy. Cali got up and couldn't help it anymore and went over to me, I was almost all numb but I still keep my eyes open. I saw her eyes then frowned, I also saw dads teeth, bare. Next thing I knew, dad was tackled to the floor of the den, Brent nipping at him. Cali took hold of me and returned me to the other pups, who gladly licked my wounds, as I lay almost lifeless on the floor. Dad was up now and so was Brent. I stood up. They were talking, and I read

"Why is my pup here?"

"YOUR PUP!!! did you not see what you just did to her?!?!?"

He bared his teeth "She's mine and I have the right to treat her how I want!"

"NO!"

"NO!?!?!?NO!?!?!?! You know what your problem is! Huh?"

Brent huffed

Dad paused then continued with a different conversation "I'm taking her and you can't stop me!"

"What's my problem? Huh? Tell me!"

"Give her to me now..."

"No"

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY NO AGAIN"

"No"

"THAT'S IT!"

And he started to walk away not caring anymore

"Were are you going??!?"

He turned around and laughed,

"Have her for now, I'll come back" and he left.
