"You are living all by yourself for ten years?"

"Who says I'm alone? I have Liger, and my other family, they never leaved me behind, that's why I'll do my best to protect them, even if it costs my own life." Artemis said with a huge smile on her lips and Light couldn't help but to stare at her.

"Now I know why your name is Artemis." Light said after a few minutes.

"Why?" she asks curiously.

"In Greek Mythology, Artemis is a goddess of the moon and the protector of the wild, just like who you are now, a goddess." Light concluded and her heart just skip a beat. She felt her cheeks burned as she glances at Light's smiling face and immediately turn away.

"I-It's getting dark, I-uuh, I----I need to head home." she said nervously as her heart keeps on beating as if a thousand bees are trying to escape from inside.

"Yeah, you're right, I'll just see you around then." Light said with a smile, hoping that he might see her again.

"Wh-why don't you----uhmm---why don't you---ca-come with us, I-it'll be a rain soon." she suggested and Light didn't have to think twice to come with Artemis.

And just like what Artemis said, the rain started to pour before they could even get to their destination.

Light was surprised to see a huge tree house near a huge cave, and by the looks of it, they are in the deepest part of the forest where the trees are larger and the area screams danger.

"We should hurry; the rain is getting heavier every minute." Artemis said while trying to climb the tree using a ladder, Light nodded and follow her.

As they reach the house a sugar glider gave Light a surprised attack and scratch his cheeks, and to Light being surprised he lost his balance and landed on the floor.

"Ouch."

He heard a wince and he immediately open his eyes and he froze upon seeing a pair of emerald green eyes staring back at him.

He felt something pound onhis chest and it seems like time has stop turning and so is for Artemis. It'slike they have their own world and they could even hear each other's extremelyloud heartbeats.
