The bright light peeked from the mountains and the warm sun greeted the forest giving every living creature a wonderful feeling of happiness. Except for Artemis, naturally she would hurriedly climb to the tree house's big branch to receive the suns warmth, but she's too doleful for anything right now. She seems lifeless and deceased, her family is worried about her, Liger the half-lion, half-tiger roared from beneath the tree house trying to catch Artemis's attention but she doesn't seem to notice him. Sweet, the sugar glider bit Artemis's finger but she just gave her a sugar cube and continued to stare at something that's not there.

She didn't get a wink, she couldn't even feel sleepy, she thought about Light the whole night, they didn't spoke with each other and she saw him leave a few minutes ago, he didn't even say goodbye and she couldn't find any words to say to him. Artemis feels dead, now that Light is gone, what does that make her? She thought of all the things she did before Light came to his life, but every time she thinks of a certain situation, his face appears in her head that makes her feel like a walking dead. Lifeless.

She wanted him to stay, she never wanted him to leave her side, but she can't think of herself right now, Light has friends and family that are worried about him that's why she can't hold him back.

Lyra, the leopard climbs the tree house effortlessly and snuggled on Artemis, she turns to Lyra and hugged her tightly and she just beak down, her heart is shattered and she feels like she doesn't want to live anymore.

"Oh Lyra, the-there are so many things that I haven't told him yet, I---I want to say that he means a lot to me------tha-that he's so precious to me that I wouldn't want him to leave---But it's too late-------It's too late------he-he's gone now—and I will never see him again." She blurted to Lyra and her tears just wouldn't stop from falling. She feels stupid for pushing him away and now she's going to regret it for the rest of her life.

I wanted to say I love him.

Artemis paused when she heard a loud roar coming from Liger and so she looks down. She saw Liger looking back at her and then looks to the direction to where Light run off earlier. It's like he's telling her to follow him. And so she went down and ride Liger's back and without delay they ran off towards the coast. They arrived at the entrance of the forest a few minutes and Artemis immediately jumps off Liger and ran towards the coast.

She froze upon seeing the back of the boat that's miles away from the island. The boat already left an hour ago and she didn't make it in time. Artemis's knees are starting to feel weak and without warning, she fell on her knees and tears flowing out from her eyes.

"N-No----No---No---this isn't happening----LIGHT!!! Please come back----Please! LIGHT!!!!"

Artemis sobbed, she continued to shout Light's name but it's no use, the boat is now nowhere in sight, Light is gone and she can't stand the pain that filled her heart. It's too late. She's too late.

"Light,

I love you."
