"Wh-what are you going to do now?" Artemis asked as they arrived at the tree house, she saw how surprised Light was when they heard the choppers announcement and she couldn't help to feel worry.

"Nothing." He answered shortly and it seems like he's trying to avoid the topic.

"It's not just nothing Light, I saw how surprised you were, it's like you were hoping for them to come and get you." Artemis concluded in a low tone of voice and Light's surprise to what she just said.

"That's not true, I wasn't hoping for them to come, it's just that, it surprised the hell out of me when they did, maybe because I was gone for a month and a half now that they got worried."

"Then maybe you should go back."

The both of them froze, the words just come out of Artemis's mouth and she isn't thinking straight, and Light just can't believe what he just heard.

"What?" he asks wanting her to repeat what she just said.

"I-It's nothing, forget about it." She said, still in a low voice, she's feeling really down, it's like she's carrying a huge rock on her shoulders.

"You want me to go back? Is that it!?" Light ask couldn't control his rage.

"I-It's just that---"

"Just what!? Am I that a hell of a burden for you that you want me gone!???" Light raised his voice because of uncontrolled rage and Artemis felt a strong pain in her chest that made her eyes are starting to water.

"You don't belong here, okay!? You belong out there!! With your friends and family!!" she yelled while tears are pouring down from her eyes, she's in pain, thinking that Light will have to leave, she just can't stop the tears from falling, Light wants to wipe off her tears, but he stops himself. Just like Artemis, he too is in pain, it never crossed his mind to go back, but now that a search party is here and Artemis pushing him away leaves him in pain, pain that the girl he treats as a treasure wants him to leave, it feels like he's heart is being crushed, and in seconds, he's eyes are starting to feel warm, and a tear that he's trying to conceal, escape his eyes making him turn away. Both of them are in pain, and it's like the heaven above is sympathizing with them for a rain just pour and both of them turned ways facing each other's backs trying to control the pain in their chests.

I don't want him to leave, but I can't hold him back, if only I can show him my true feelings. Maybe.

I never wanted to leave her, but she's pushing me away. If only she knew how I felt. Just maybe.

He'll stay.

She'll let me stay.
