I couldn't sleep. My stomach was grumbling, This bed was uncomfortable and worst of all. I couldn't get the image of Artemis dying out of my head. Every time I closed my eyes I was back in the snow, watching her run an then get vaporised.
I know it wasn't real, it was just a stupid training program. But it felt realer than anything I've ever felt before.
My stomach grumbled again. I was starving. Heck I'm always starving. I could go for a midnight snack.
I wonder if Mrs M left some cookies in the kitchen. I wasn't gonna sleep anyway so I might as well fuel up.
I rose out of bed and opened the door that lead out into the hallway.
We were ordered to stay the night at Mount Justice so we could be assured that we were safe. It's more likely they have Canary monitoring us, seeing how we act or react to things after what went down today.
I super sped through the hallway and into the kitchen.
Hmm. I wonder where Martian babe would keep the food.
I started looking through all the cupboards and the fridge. I pulled out bread and some other ingredients and created one of the most delicious sandwiches I have made so far.
Alright. Got my awesome meal. Now time to sit down and enjoy it. I wonder what's on TV.
I grabbed my sandwich and sprinted, jumping over the back of the couch and landing perfectly on the base.

"OWWW!!"

What the hell was that.
I looked beside me and saw a blonde haired girls eyes shoot open. An angry expression on her face.

"What the hell Kid idiot. Did you not even see me here."

I absolutely did not see her. I didn't see her at all.

"Artemis. Oh. Uh. Sorry."

"How bout instead of saying sorry, you get off my back!"

Wow. I had landed right on her back as well. That would've hurt.
I jumped up, freeing her from my weight. She stood up, stretched and then massaged her back.
Alls she was wearing a plain white shirt and underwear. And looking fine in it.

"I'm telling you now Baywatch. If you've damaged my back you are going to regret it..." She looked over at me and her eyes widened. "Wally?" She said calmly but sharp.

"Uh. Yeah?"

"Look down"

Confused, I looked down and realised.
In my haste to get food I had forgotten to put clothes on and was in nothing but my briefs. But my body was also doing something much worse.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, turning around and covering myself. My entire face turned red with embarrassment.
"I am so sorry Artemis. I. I don't know what to say... I. This. Uh...."

I sped off back to my room.
I sat on the end of my bed.
Stupid stupid stupid. Why did my body decide to do that then. Why do I have to be a goddamn hormonal teenager. It happened in front of her. Of all people.
My stomach grumbled, loudly.
Ahhh. And I forgot the sandwich.
How am I going to ever be able to talk to her again. I mean. I know all we do is argue. But I've actually started liking it. I like how she picks on me and makes nicknames for me. I mean Baywatch. C'mon that name is awesome.
Okay Wally. Calm down. She's a teenager too. She'll understand. Uh. I have to go out there and say something.

I finally decide to go back out. This time I put on a shirt and shorts before running out.
I run back into the lounge. Artemis is still there, and she's eating my sandwich.

"Bought time you came back."

"Listen. Artemis. About that. Before."
