I sit on the couch (a bandage wrapped around my leg) watching a movie.
Artemis walks past and I immediately spring into action.

"Yo Artemis! How about some one on one deathmatch?" I say waving a game controller.

"Did you just 'yo' me?" She frowned but didn't stop walking. "The answer's no."

"You can pick the map." I try.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I've got to go home." She leaves the room and I run after her.

"I'll walk you home then." I walk beside her. "I do need some fresh air. If you can call Gotham air fresh."

"You can't. It smells terrible. Like you."

Ouch.

"Hey, I wear deodorant."

"You also wear a skintight suit that you run around endlessly in. Don't you notice that Meghan airs out the bioship whenever you've been in there?"

"She does not. Mrs. M loves my scent."

"I bet."

She steps into the Zeta, I quickly follow her in and we both end up in a small phonebooth in the middle of a decaying alley.

"Cosy." I smile as our bodies are squished together.

She glares at me and shoves open the door. We spill out into the alley.
Artemis doesn't bother waiting for me. She immediately gets up and walks off. I stumble my way off the ground and catch up to her. I then walk beside her through the Gotham streets. Its kinda sad that this place is a garbage dump compared to the cleanliness of Central City. Not even Batman and Rob can clean it up.
Artemis and I walk in silence until she stops and walks up towards a door. She fumbles through her pockets for her keys.

"Okay Wally, you walked me home. Can you leave me alone now?" She asks.

"What, you aren't even going to invite me inside?"

"Why should I?" She raises an eyebrow at me with a face like she can't be bothered talking to me.

"Because its polite. Its manners."
I tell her.

She pretends to be surprised. "Wally West knows what manners are, never would've thought."

"Ha ha." I sigh. "Fine, I'll just go home then." I say, defeated.

Artemis rolls her eyes and push's open her door, she then stands to the side to allow room for me to walk through.

"My mother isn't home for another half hour. So I guess I do need some company to stop from getting bored." She seems to be trying to convince herself more. She certainly isn't convincing me cause I'm already through the door.

We walk inside and are greeted with stairs. A lot of stairs.

"What floor you on?" I ask, looking up the stairwell.

"Top." She smiles. "C'mon, surely this can't be too tiring for the fastest boy alive." She mocks me and begins to climb. I follow.

We climb and we climb and we climb all the way to the top. The main problem with stairs is that you have to take every one one step at a time (unless you're a smart-arse and jump them). Its too time consuming, its so slow. If I wasn't in this place where people could see me, I'd speed up and down these stairs dozens of times. I'd run circles around Artemis as she slowly takes each step. God I'm so happy for my speed! When I'm allowed to use it.
