The Wave

Chapter 12

Charlotte's POV

The plane ride went by quickly. In fact, I think I slept most of the way there. I asked Abby how the conversation went with Harry's mom, but she said it was mostly her just trying to calm down Mrs. Styles then having to hang up due to take off. She's one thing we are going to have to face when we get home.

Louis and Zayn met us at the airport, They brought clean clothes, food, tooth brushes, and phones for us to use. I called my family as soon as I finished getting ready. The call was filled with "I love you" and "we miss you" and things like that. I still haven't said much since returning, but I promised my parents I would be home soon. 

Liam, Niall, Abby, Zayn, Louis, and I all pilled into a car and drove back to our flat. I my hand never left Liam's. As soon as we got back, the four of us went to bed. Zayn and Louis stayed downstairs while we slept and tried to get the situation with Harry figured out. 

"Charlotte, do you need anything before bed?" Liam asked. I honestly think he was just trying to get me to talk. I shook my head and climbed into bed.

"Just you." I whispered. 

Liam smiled and curled up in the bed next to me. He kissed the top of my forehead and pulled me protectively to his body.  I could hear his steady breathes, the beat of his heart. The way his grip never loosened around my waist. I knew I would be completely lost with out him. 

"I love you." I whispered so quietly I wasne't even sure he heard.

"I love you." He whispered back. 

Harry's POV (before tsunami) 

I couldn't believe Abby thought I wanted a "friends with benefits" thing! How dare she! I stormed down the beach because I knew if I didn't leave, I would say something I regret. 

"Harry! Harry stop!" I could hear Liam call. I turned around, swinging my arms in the air.

"What!? What could you possibly want, Liam?"

"I know you didn't mean those things when you were talking to Abby." 

"But she...she just.."

"I know Harry," He slightly smiled, "you two are so much alike so you both get aggravated easily." 

"Oh really." I huffed, but I knew he was right.

"Just think about it." He said and started to walk away.

I was about to follow when I saw something very unusual. The ocean was pulling back. Really far. I saw Liam turn around and stare. I could see Abby and Charlotte going over to the waters edge to get a closer look. I suddenly began to panic and looked far out into the sea. 

Oh my God. It's the tsunami. 

Before I could even think, the wave started it's way back to shore. People now were running, screaming, trying to do anything they could. I saw Abby and Charlotte start running and go away from the beach. Charlotte stopped and looked down to where I was standing. I tried to run toward them, but my feet were slipped out from underneath me. The sea crashing down on top of me.

I held my breath and swam. 

Hey!!! Ok I am kicking myself because I haven't done an update in so long! I just want to say that I will now be switching POVs with Harry and Charlotte. Almost all of Harry's will be when the tsunami is happening and Charlotte's will be after the tsunami! I'll try to make it was less confusing as I can!
