Harry's POV
I woke up to find myself under a pile of...wait what is this? My body was trapped under what seemed like a large car including a ton of other stuff. I tried to wiggle out with no luck.
Great. What even happened?
I had a hard time remembering what went on after the wave hit, but it's probably better that I didn't anyway. All I knew was that now I was stuck, and couldn't get out.
"Help! Help me!" My voice called out.
I heard another sound off in the distance. "Hello?"
"Yes, yes! I'm here!" I kept screaming until the stranger appeared next to me.
"Um hello?" I could hear the voice better now. It was a girl.
"Yea...um hi. I'm...I'm Harry." I knew she would think my thick accent was unusual for this part of the world. I could feel myself blush.
"Harry," she said again, "hi! I'm Laurel." Said the American girl.
"Is there any way you could maybe get this off of me?"
"Oh! Of course I am so sorry!" She hurried to start pulling the debris off of me.
Within an hour or so, there was enough crap off me so I could shimmy out from what I had guessed was a car. I was right.
Laurel helped me up and offered me a water bottle. I immediately took a swig and looked around. The ground was covered in debris and if it wasen't that it was muddy water.
Laurel, with her short brown hair and brown eyes, never looked away from me.
"Well, thank you for help..."
"I got it!"
"What?"
"You're in One Direction! Wow...what are you doing here?"
I smiled at her enthusiasm. I told her about how Abby, Niall, Liam, Charlotte, and I came here for a vacation after touring in the states.
Her smile suddenly disappeared. "Wait...you came here with them? Where are they?"
My heart suddenly started beating hard. I scanned the ground one more time before facing her again.
"I..I don't know." My breath got caught in my throat.
"I can help. I'm with a group of a few other survivors so you can stay with us. We made a camp just up the mountain." She points to the hill a few miles down.
"There's more survivors? Thank God."
"Yea...speaking of which, how did you survive the second wave?"
"What?"
"The second wave," she said, "there was an after shock. You must have been out cold. It's a miracle that you survived."
"I didn't even know there was another one!" I mumbled.
Laurel quickly caught onto my confused state.
"Here, come with me and I get you some food and more water at the camp then we can start looking for your friends." She smiled.
"Ok. Thanks again."
"No problem!" And with that, we started the slow descent up the mountain.
Charlotte's POV
It's been a week since we've been home. I've visited with my family, but besides that I haven't left the house much. The boys have been with management still trying to figure out what to do about Harry.
Harry.
My chest tightens and my heart aches just by hearing his name. I don't know how Abby is doing so well. Just as I was thinking of her, my phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Char! It's Abby!"
"I know Ab, I have caller I.D."
"Shut up. I need to tell you something! Can I come over?"
I looked around my messy room and thought about the fact that I haven't showered today.
"Sure I guess that's..."
"I'll be over in 10." and with that she hung up.
Sure enough, in 10 minutes the door bell rings. I pad over and unlock the wooden door. Standing in front of me is a puffy eyed Abby.
"Abby! What's wrong?" I hurry her into the living room and sit on the large sofa.
"I feel awful."
"About what?"
"I...I wanted to brake up with Harry. Before the..tsunami...I was planning on breaking up with him. I do love him Char, but we are too much alike. He's like a brother, not a boyfriend. But now he's dead and I just...you can't break up with a dead person Charlotte like you just don't do that!"
She was starting to cry again, so I reached over and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Shh Abby it's ok! Harry would have felt the same way if you were to bring it up I'm sure! And nothing is holding you to this...relationship I guess that you have with him now. You're aloud to see other boys."
"But I don't want people, especially the fans, to think I'm some slut who leaves her boyfriend for someone else right after he dies!"
"No one will think you're a slut! And if they do, they will have to deal with me." I smiled and pulled away from her.
"You're sure?"
"I know there is no way to avoid hate, but people will understand that you have to move on."
Abby began to smile too and came in for another hug.
"Thank you so much Charlie! Now enough about me! How have you and Liam been since we've been back." She sat back in the couch and waited for my response.
"I don't know," I answered honestly, "we..or I have been pretty distant lately."
"Do you think you guys will brake up?"
I sighed. "I don't know."
"Liam is the type of guy who would understand if you didn't want a relationship anymore." Abby stated.
"You're right. Since the accident, he has just been this amazing support for me. A rock almost, but I'm not feeling the sparks like I've used too."
"That's how I was with Harry. Take your own advice, Charlie. You could end it with him."
I looked at me feet with blank eyes. I loved Liam, so much. But like Abby and Harry, I've begun to love him more as a friend.
I heard the sound of a car door slam and jolted my head up. It was Liam coming home. Abby was already on her feet and heading for the door.
"Do what you think feels right." was all she said before leaving.
