Arthur looked up at the night sky. The beautiful lights shone down on him making the landscape look like a wonderland. The grass beneath him felt soft to the touch, the trees stood tall and on guard around him, the river ran dangerously to his far left, however, from this distance it sounded very calming.

With the wind blowing through the leaves, the river snapping on the edges of the riverbank, and the grass swaying left and right caressing his bare legs, he could easily slip into a deep sleep.

That is, if it wasn't for his right leg going completely numb and in the verge of turning purple.

He grumbled as he slowly lifted his upper body up and held himself steady with his elbows. He eyed the beast currently nuzzled and snoring softly on the slowly dying limb.

The great animal's head was maybe three times bigger than his own, with great huge paws and claws that could tear him apart if it wanted to. The long tail lay motionless as the beast rested.

Arthur ran his hand through its soft fur, occasionally running the tips of his fingers only on the black stripes. And smoothing down where the white lay.

He couldn't believe the responsibility that he was trusted upon. So much has happened to him to get him to where he's at right now. A lot in his life has also changed drastically, because of this being. However, he couldn't seem to mind.

He met the tiger about half a year ago, and he couldn't be any happier. The journey ahead of them was dangerous, harm can bestow upon them both, one or none of them could come back from it.

Arthur caressed behind the white Tiger's ear, making the animal twitch and lift it's head up off of Arthur's leg.

Arthur removed his now numb limb away from the beast and began to pet and scratch it behind the ear.

The animal surprisingly started to purr. Arthur was told that a huge cat like creature couldn't possess that ability. That they were too huge to have the capability to purr like a smaller cat. Which is why they roar instead, and a smaller feline isn't able to do that.

However, with what this animal truly is, it wouldn't really surprise the blond to find out it purrs.

The noise the animal made was vibrating throughout its body, sending little spark and tingles to Arthur's hand.

The beast leaned it's head closer to Arthur's leg, getting ready to sleep once more. At this Arthur moved his legs farther away.

"Sorry Alfred, your too heavy"

He patted the grass next to him, telling the animal to lay there instead.

The white Tiger stared at Arthur for a good while. A disbelieving look in its bright blue eyes, an amazing task for an animal, which made Arthur chuckle.

Alfred tried leaning it's head once again on the blond's legs, shuffling it's great paws closer to the other. Arthur laughed at the Tiger's persuasiveness and moved his legs underneath him.

"Seriously Alfred, my leg gets numb" He said as he pushed the animals face away.

A low grunting noise rose from the Tiger's throat, as it pulled away from the rejecting hand and finally laid it's head on the grass.

The blond rested his head on the beast's side, fingers combing through the thick white and black fur.

He closed his eyes and a smile slowly reached his lips as he heard the soothing rumble of the animal's purr. The vibration came out in a low motion, cascading throughout Arthur's body lulling him into a deep sleep.
