Arthur looked down at his desk feeling every eye in the small classroom bore into his back. Or, to better clarify, staring at his eyebrows. He reached up to touch one of them, but abruptly brought it back down. He didn't want any more eyes to stare at him than there already were. Any movement from him might attract more attention.

He held his hands clench above his legs, shoulders tense and not once looking up to listen to the teacher speak. If everyone was staring at his eyebrows instead of the teacher why should he listen in too?

He shut his eyes tight as he began to hear everyone around him whispering.

He knew this would happen, he knew the bullies were everywhere. He came from England with his family for a better future. They said America would bring happiness and a better chance of an opportunity for his father and brothers going to university, and that Arthur would have a new start at finding friends and leaving behind the bullies who use to torment him.

But as Arthur sat in his tiny chair, trying to hide himself from the world as he listened to the whispers of the other 1st graders around him, he didn't think America was any different from his old home back in England.

He clenched his jaw just waiting for someone to start throwing something at him already. He could feel the stares all around him, and knew at least someone wanted to do it.

He hated this, he hated being made fun of or talked about behind his back. He moved his hands to clench on the chair he was sitting on.

When will it all end?

Alfred hummed to himself his favorite tune, his mother use to sing to him right before bed time. He knew the teacher was talking about something in front of the class, but he was content in just zoning everything else around him out and drawing superheros into his scratch paper. He brought out crayon after crayon and tried to apply each and every one of the colors into his amazing superhero.

He smiled as he brought the paper and held it above the desk in front of him. It was the most amazing superhero he's drawn so far, and he couldn't wait to go home and show his family.

His bright blue eyes slowly gazed from the paper to a small boy that looked like he had to pee really badly in his desk, right across from him. His small hands slowly lowered down the drawing as his eyes stayed glued to the trembling body.

'Oh no!' he thought. 'maybe he's too shy to ask the teacher.' He turned towards the adult who was still lecturing in front of the class, and quickly shot his hand up. He even gave a grunt and a small wave to better grab the teacher's attention.

The woman gave a sigh and pointed her marker towards the young child. "Yes, Alfred?" she asked exasperated. The boy brought his hand down and smiled. "I need to pee." he announced cheerfully, causing the boys to laugh and some girls give a yucky expression. However, he smiled even brighter when he noticed the boy who really needed to pee look up at him shyly.

The teacher giggled herself and nodded reaching across her desk to grab the restroom pass. "Choose someone to go with you, then you may go."

Arthur looked up when he noticed that all the eyes where now staring at the young boy who cheerfully, and unnecessarily, announced he needed to go use the restroom. His eyes widened however when that same little boy pointed a finger towards him.  He blushed when every eye returned to him waiting for him to stand and follow the blue-eyed boy out the class room.

Alfred hummed his tune once more as he skipped to the restrooms with the new kid in tow. He stopped however when he noticed the other boy walking in a slow pace and head hung low.
