My mom and I leave Starbucks and walk down Hollywood Blvd. We got our nails done. I've gotten fake nails, colored black, with white music notes. And ballet slippers on my thumbs. My mom just got plain pink nails.

Someone bumps into my shoulder making me drop my coffee on the ground. I turn and face them. "What the hell."

"I am so sorry. Did it get on you at all?"

"It just got on my sleeve. Just be careful next time." I throw my cup in a trash can near by.

"Let me buy you a new drink."

"No. It's fine."

"Here." He grabs my hand and writes down a number. "I'm in town for two more weeks. Call me or text me and I'll bring you to get a new coffee."

"Two weeks?"

"Yup." He smiles.

"Alright."

He turns back to his friends. "Oh and Kyle?"

"Yeah?" He looks over.

"My name is Carmen." I smile.

"Hello Carmen." He returns it.

I start walking with my mom, every time I look back he's still in the same spot looking at me. I smile and wave. I put his number in my phone and wash the blue pen ink off my hand.

"So?" My mom elbows me slightly.

" 'so' what?"
