Shannon Alex and I spent all day getting bed sheets and pillow cases with a thick blanket for the room next to mine where my mom said Kyle can sleep. He's going to be staying with us until further notice. We bought him a ticket and he was set on a plain this morning. We even got a lamp with the Batman symbol on it that matches his rubber bracelet.

Now we're eating before we head to the airport. "Do you think of anything that will become of you two?" Alex asks.

"I don't know. We'll just have to find out."

"Well if it counts for anything.... I think you two are amazing together."

I smile, stirring my soda with my straw. "We'll see.."

"How long does it take to get to the airport from here?" Shannon asks.

"About 30 minutes. So we have two hours."

"Can we go shopping.... like for ourselves?" Alex asks. "I need new socks."

-two and a half hours later.

We park and run up to the doors of the airport and see Kyle walk out. "Kyle!" We yell and run up to him. We tackle him to the ground and I hear him laugh. We get up and I help him up.

"You changed your hair color.." He brings his hand up to th ends of my hair and smiles.

"Shannon and Alex said I should try something new."

"It looks great. Goes well with your blue eyes."

"Just hug already!" I feel hands on my back and I bump into Kyle.

I laugh and hug him. He's my best friend. I never want to hear him cry again. Ever. And who ever makes him cry, I'll kill. He's such a sweety pie and so kind.

"Thank you." He whispers.

"We'll talk later." I whisper back. I let go of him and hand Shannon my car keys. "Wanna finally drive my car?"

"You don't need to ask twice." She snatches my keys from my hand and runs across the street to my car.

"She's bugging you about driving your car again?"

"Not again. Still." Alex smiles.

Shannon shows up and I help Kyle with putting his five suitcases in the trunk of the hummer 4x4.
