Chapter 28

"Shit! I must have fallen asleep!" I yell as soon as I realized I feel asleep on Liam's couch.

"Calm down I called your parents to tell them you fell asleep. They said it was fine for you to stay here." Liam says to me as he makes his way towards me with breakfast.

"Really?"

"Yep." Liam smirks at me while handing over a plate filled with two pancakes, bacon, and eggs.

"Did you make all of this?" I asked amazed.

"Yep." He says as he takes his seat on the couch next to me.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

"Did you guys finish the movie last night?" I ask wondering what happened when I went to sleep.

"No. As soon as you fell asleep we realized we were all tired and decided to go to sleep as well."

"We can finish it another time."

"Sure thing." Liam says wrapping his arm around me.

"Hey you two." Adam says plopping himself next to me.

"Hey." I respond back. "Did you guys eat breakfast already?" I ask both boys.

"We sure did. We didn't want to wake you. You looked so peaceful." Liam says.

"Thanks. Wait its Monday! We have to get ready for school!" I jump up from the couch in panic. "Why aren't you guys getting ready!?"

"Maybe because we have the day off. Teacher work day." Liam says chuckling.

"Oh." I say calming myself down.

"Do you think your parents would have left you stayed here if there was school in the morning?" Liam asks me.

"No?" I say it as a question.

"You're adorable Hailey."

"Thanks." I say feeling myself blush.

"So what are we doing today?" Adam says but gets interrupted by the doorbell.

"I'll get it." Liam's and Adam's mother says from behind us.

"Nick!" I hear her say in shock. I look at Liam and Adam and see their faces turn pale.

"Hey Josie." I hear a deep man's voice say. The same voice from the restaurant.

Suddenly I hear heavy footsteps coming towards us. Liam grabs my hand tightly and Adam just looks lost in his own thoughts.

"Hello boys." I hear Nick say. "Oh and girl. You're the girl from last night right? You with my son?"

"Y-yes sir." I say as I feel my heart beat faster. I don't know why I'm so nervous.

"Well I'm glad Liam has found himself a beautiful young lady." He says and smiles. I look over towards Liam's mother and see she is still in shock.

"Thank you sir." I say and he nods.

"Liam? You ok son?" He says looking at Liam as his hand continues to cut off my circulation.

"Just peachy." He says in anger.

"What about you son? How are you Adam?" He looks at Adam and when Adam hears his name he snaps his head towards his father.
