Chapter 3
Mia's POV
I arrived in London in less than two hours. It was my first time on a plane so I was quite nervous about how it was going to go. Every time the plane shifted or moved, I gripped onto the armrests so hard, I probably looked laughable to others around me. And when I would, the elderly grandpa next to me suffered my wrath. It was pretty embarrassing, but he politely laughed it off, making me feel less uneasy.
I thought I was going to be in first class seats considering it was Perrie, but I suppose seating was limited. She had booked the flight on a tight schedule. I didn't mind at all though, I was seated next to a cute, old couple still very much in love. That was the kind of love everyone dreamt of. Seeing such happy people together just melted my heart.
Romantic much?
After retrieving my carry on from the top bin with one successful attempt, the line steadily grows shorter and shorter. I grabbed a mini cab and showed the driver the address on the note Perrie had given me. Once she glanced at it, her eyes widened with horror and suspicion.
Was she afraid of paper by chance?
"Are you sure you wanna go there?" She asks. "It's quite a private spot. You're not a crazy fan, are you?"
I laughed at her hilarious assumption. "I'm not a crazy fan. I came here on business, and I have an appointment there," I explained, confused as to why she seemed so reluctant.
"You look a little too young to be going there for business. If this is some fabricated story ... Fans could be real .. Creative sometimes." Her thick Irish accent was a definite sign that she wasn't from here .. which was nice. I wasn't from around here either, and I enjoyed seeing people from other countries.
"I swear that I'm not making this up. I could call my client if you wanted proof," I said, taking out my phone.
"It's just - there are always lots of paps roaming that area. Even though they're prohibited, they linger in nearby areas."
Well, of course there would be, Mia. It's common sense.
"Thank you for the warning. How about we just go a block from there? I'll call my client after," I further explained.
"Alright," she agrees although I could still hear the reluctance in her voice.
When she started to drive off, I opened up my laptop and tried to continue my research on this Zayn Malik since I needed to know at least a few details about him.
Sure, I could ask him myself, but he probably wouldn't be open to a complete stranger like me. And the internet knew everything nowadays.
As I typed his name into Google, images of him immediately appeared below the search bar. And might I say that Perrie was one lucky girl. With just one look, I could already tell he looked like one of those grooms who wanted their fiancé to take care of everything. His sole job would be to show up.
I was sure Perrie would force him to be a major part of the wedding. I could just imagine them both bickering playfully at what the theme colors of the wedding should be. Perrie would ask him which ones he preferred, and he would dully state that it didn't matter. Then she would throw a minor tantrum and he would ultimately give in to her wants.
But I was going to be planning his wedding also, not only Perrie's. It wasn't always about the bride but also the groom. People almost forget that.
He's afraid of open water. Interesting.
An underwater wedding was definitely not an option, but I suppose a beach wedding isn't exactly out of the question. But he does fancy sharks. I was not gonna have a shark themed wedding. It's not off the table, but I know Perrie and she would never agree to it. But then again, she might since she was so spontaneous sometimes. They would be the first couple in my history of wedding planning to do that.
