Falling for You

Chapter 19

It was a few days later and Ollie was back at home. He was on the sofa with streams of wires coming out of his body, he had never been so pain free. The mother and father were snuggled on the sofa watching their son crawl around the floor.

"Well done Zachary, Daddy is so proud." He whispered as his lungs began to fail him. "Zosh can you pass him here for a few minutes please." He pleaded. Zosia obliged and left the room. She knew he was saying goodbye, but she stayed within hearing distance.

Ollie carefully laid Zachary in his arms minding his tubes, the baby tried to fling the oxygen mask at Ollie but he caught it just before.

"You Mr, are going to be a trouble maker, I just know it. I'm just so sorry I'm not going to be there to see it. But you Listen to me Daddy loves you so so so much." Zachary gurgled.

"Yes he does, and I will always be your Daddy no matter what. I love you so much son, my baby boy. You hear that?" The baby giggled even more. Ollie's breathing then suddenly became a lot more faint, and the machine began to sound.

"He knows he loves you. And I will make sure he never forgets it." Zosia said as she snuggled back into Ollie's side. Tears were streaming down her face,
"Please don't go." She pleaded with him,
"I have to." He whispered back. " I love you. I love Zach. You are my world."
"I love you too." She said as she kissed him on the lips passionately.

The pair then held hands tightly, whilst Zachary sat on their laps. Ollie's breathe started to become shallow and faint, each breathe requiring more effort then the last. Then slowly, the grip on Zosia's hand loosened.

He was gone.

Zosia broke down and Immediately clung to Zachary as he begun to wail.
"I know baby, I know." She sobbed.

"Daddy's gone."
