have you ever had one of those moments when someone says something and then everything seems to slow down you feel like you can't breath and it's like your slowly loosing touch with reality and an over whelming urge to throw up.almost like your drowning, that is how I feel right now
'wait what?' Lydia asked sounding so far away that I could barely here her eventhought she was standing only feet from me.
'Becca?' someone else said I looked up Scott was took a step closer to me. I blinked shaking my head a little.
'hmm what?'I asked looking at him.
'I said are you okay? you look like you've seen a ghost.' he said putting his hand on my arm. I could tell that he was concerned. Aidan and Ethan both looked at his hand on my arm raising their eyebrows at him.
'um what are we going to do about Becca?' Stiles asked exasperated.
'can we hide her or something?'Scott asked Ethan. I felt somethig change in the people around us I looked at everyone trying to find who is was I noticed that we were all very close together on the platform aidan was standing next to me and Stiles was on my other side. when I got to Ethan he wouldn't look at me
'he wants Aidan and Ethan to do it on the class trip tomorrow.' I said letting it sink in that what I said. everyone loomed at them then at me.
'your not going to kill her.' Scott said getting on the defensive.
'Aidan and. evocation have fought enough that I know she can take us both.' Ethan said. I was about to say something but stopped.
Ms. Blake came around the corner she looked at all of us gathered on the stair case.
'you are all late to class.' she said I flashed back to last night seeing that face knowing what she was and that she has the power to keep that face up. we all looked at her I took a step back into the group feeling scared
I backed in to Scott taking a step around him to put him, Ethan and Aidan in between me and her. Aidan looked over his shoulder at me curiously motioning to Ethan, who took a step towards me.
'sorry we'll get to class' Isaac said motioning for everyone to get going. Ethan grabbed my hand walking with me up the stairs. the whole time she was standing there she refused to make eye contact with me if I was in her position I would too.
'so what happened that you were going to hide behind me and Aidan?' Ethan asked swinging our hands back and forth.
'I was on my skate board last night and she attacked me.' I said I felt Ethan tense. ' she had me by the throat but I forced her to change and she dropped me.' I said stopping in front of the door to my English class. I could tell that this conversation wasn't over. he gave me a hug before letting me go into class.
I opened the door to the class and everyone looked at me
'just take your seat Ms. Meade.' Mr Stewart said not looking up from his book. I agent over and took my seat next to Danny.
'Becca what happened to you?' Danny asked while he was writing something down. Showing me the page number.
'I got distracted.’ I said getting out my text book flipping to the page that Danny was on trying to read the chapter and answer the questions that were assigned because I really was distracted. I started feeling detached from the people around me. Like I did when I realized that I was alone in the world.
The bell rang telling me that the class was over. I gathered my stuff.
‘So what time do you want me to come over.’ Danny asked I looked at him confused again. ‘Really Becca!’ he said exasperated.
‘sorry.’ I said sadly hanging my head in shame as I walked out of the classroom.
‘honestly Becca what am I going to do with you?’ he asked as we entered the hallway of busy peers. I looked at him feeling terrible as I asked myself the same question what am I going to do. Im not strong enough to fight him off as much as I love Ethan im not sure that Aidan wouldn’t try. I could fight Aidan off with the who divide and conquer but I don’t think I could actually hurt either of them.
By the time that lunch came around I wasn’t hungry I grabbed a lemon aid from a vending machine and sat at the table one of the tables playing with the lid.
There was a shuffling of chairs and people sitting down. I looked at them Scott Stiles and Isaac sitting at the table. Scott smiled at me.
‘how’s your day going?’ Scott asked taking a bite of his sandwich.
‘how do you think?’ I asked taking a drink of my lemon aid.
‘that was chipper.’ Stiles said sarcastically. I thought really hard about hitting him, but changed my mind when I realized that he knows how it feels to have your best friend try to kill you.
‘Becca everything is going to be okay.’ Scott said putting his hand on mine. I have to say that it calmed my nerves down a lot. There is something about Scott that just makes me trust him, and that is a rare thing. I looked down at our hands then back at him, he smiled at me with a real genuine smile that I couldn’t help but return. I got a feeling that he likes me.
I felt a pair of eyes boring holes into my back, I turned to see Aidan sitting three tables behind me we made eye contact for a millisecond before he looked away turning to Ethan and whispering something.
‘Becca?’ Stiles yelled across the table at me.
‘what?’ I asked bringing back my attention.
‘what are we going to do?’ he asked.
‘about what?’ I asked very confused.
‘Oh my god really?!’ he asked exasperated that I didn’t listen to a word that he said.
‘about the twins having to kill you.’ Isaac said. Oh yeah that.
‘I have no idea, I know for one thing that Ethan isn’t going to try to kill me because he is my friend im worried about Aidan though.’ i said letting out a sigh
