I trugged into the lobby of the building that I live in from four days of the most awkward silence I have ever encountered you would have though that Aidan diving off of the cliff to save me would get him talking but no it shut him up he didn't even open his mouth to argue with me.
I pushed the button up to my floor leaning up against the back wall thinking about how nice it is going to be to take a hot shower and go to sleep in my own bed. when the doors opened to my floor I discarded my backpack next to the pile of shoes stripping myself of the mud coated pants from the rain and my shirt before I got to my room leaving me halfway ready to get on the shower. i walked into my ensuit bathroom turning on the shower i walked our of the bathroom to get some clothes to wear to bed when I heard my phone ringing in my pocket on my pants down the hall thinking that who ever that was could wait I half an hour walking back in to the bathroom over to the speaker system wanting to listen to Olly Murz on Pandora as I showed but it told me that I needed to hook up my mobile device to play so I had to go get my phone. leaving the now souna like bathroom.
picking up my pants fishing my phone out of the pocket but what I found wasn't my phone. it was probably Aidan's ill go give it back to him after I shower.
i set it on the table that was in the hall going back to my bathroom stripping myself of tgw last of my clothing before getting in the water burned at first because of how hot it was. I had to adjust the temperature adding cool water to it so that it wouldn't really burn me.
for the frist time I let myself really think about how much he really doesn't like me even when I tried to thank him for saveing me all he did was nod like or didn't even matter but if it didn't matter than why did he do it then? he probably just did it for Ethan.
after I was done showering I turned off the water grabbing a towel and dries off. I put on clean undies and bra then grabbed some pajama shorts and a tank top. walking down the hall towards the door I slipped on my mockisons brabbing his phone off of the counter pushing the button to go up.
fgw doors opened reveiling Ethan standing there with my phone in hand.
'hey becks.' he said with a smile walking out of the elevator
'hey' I said returning his smile.
'Aidan had your phone and he asked me to bring it to you and see if you had his.' he said handing me my phone. I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes.
'yeah its right here i was just abut to bring it up.' I said handing Ethan Aidan's phone. he room it putting it in his pocket and headed for my kitchen. I followed him he had already filled the kettle and put it in the stove removing two cups from the shelf with peppermint tea bags in them.
I walked over sitting down at the counter. 'so how was it after Scott and I left?' he asked with his back still to me.
'awkward and quiet.' I said he turned around looking at me then let out a sigh.
'I'm sorry to hear that.' he said sounding upset. I raised an eyebrow at him very confused. 'I was just hopeing that you to would start getting along better.' he said sitting across from me.
'I don't see that happening.' I said.
'which is a shame.' he added letting tthe conversation die.
the only thing that broke the silence.
'hey Beck can I ask you something?' Ethan asked as he saty cup down on front of me
'sure' I said taking a sip of the tea
'do you like Scott? he asked looking at me intently.
'yeah I he is cool.' I said shrugging.
'that is not what I asked' he said giving me that look.
'he's cute.' I said looking at the counter
'what does that mean? he asked sipping his own tea.
'it means if he asked me out I might not say no.' I said shrugging again it
'oh ' he said sounding confused causeing me to chuckle
'what?' I asked sounding a little amused
'nothing.' he said. 'I'm going to go Aidan wants his phone back and Danny wants you to call him.' he said coming back on my side of the counter giving me a side hug kissing my forehead.
'ill call him tomorrow I need sleep' I said turning yo face him
'sounds good.' he said exiting the kitchen.
'NIGHT EETHAN I LOVE YOU' I yelled after him
'love you too' he yelled back. I got up leavung my cup on the counter I headed back in to my room shutting I put my phone on the charger i flopped down on my bed letting my body relax in to the comfort of my bedding as i drifted from contiousnes
i heard a twig snapp to my left. i gasped opening my eyes it was dark i couldnt see anything.moving my hand to my face i felt a blind fold.. i heard more footsteps comeing towards me. i took a deep breath trying to calm the panic that was taking over my sences. but something felt off like my body was foregen to me. i heard a low growl behind me i felt my body react moving out of the way and attacking back with a quick movement of my hand sliceing threw what felt like flesh with the fluidness and persision of a swoard moving threw the air.Who ever it was let out a cry of painful anger and they tryed to regain momentem in the fight sloppily moving in for a second attack.with the same amout of effortlessness i did it again.
letting out a amused chuckle it was my turn to be on the offensive. i more disectied my opponet insted of attacked them. when it was clear tha i had won i reached up pulling off the blindfold. taken back seeing Scott laying on the ground. taking in the damage that i had done. it looked like he hand been deviened he was sitting up aginst a wall infront of me.
i walked over crowching down to his level seeing nothing but hate in his eyes as he staired back at me. i could feel a smirk plaster itself onto my face. pith another fluid swoard like motion i pushed my hand in to his chest wrapping my hand around his heart. right befroe i pulled taking any hope of lfe that he had a glint of a shining object a sharp cutting pain on my neck ended any chance i had, with one last look before death greated me a less confidednt terrifide me staired back. but if im looking at me then who am it was the last thought i had
i gasped as i launged myself out of bed only able to take a breath before running into my bathroom and vomited my entire stumic up. colapsing beside my tolet as i tryed to make anysence out of what i just saw . someone tryed to and almost succeesed at killing Scott the idea of what i just saw made me puke again. somthing in me told me that whatever i saw was going to happen with no doubt or any chance of change,
things like that rarley happed because no ones future is certain.
