Becca’s Pov.
I woke up more tired then when I went to sleep last night. After Danny helped me pack he and Ethan left talking about going to the movies Ethan asked if I wanted him to come back but I told him not to worry about it.
I sluggishly got ready for four days out in the woods searching for god knows what with Aidan. I was wearing jeans with a plaid button down and a tank underneath it. I grabbed my boots ad some socks. I added wepons to my attire and to my backpack hoping that they don’t search me but I doubt that they will. Just incase things get bad between me and Aidan because it is known to happen.
We had to be at school by 6:45 because we were leaving at 7. I grabbed my back pack heading for the elevator. Pushing the button to go down when the doors opened Ethan and Aidan were standing there.
‘Morning’ I mumbled walking into the elevator. They nodded in response I don’t think any of us are awake yet. Two floors after mine Alison got on and I could literally feel the awkward as she got in. I shifted closer to Ethan leaning up against him. I yawned as I rested my head on his shoulder.
When the elevator finally reached the bottom floor I was nearly asleep.
‘Becca?’ Ethan asked.
‘Im awake.’ I said standing straight up looking around Aidan was standing outside of the elevator holding the doors open. I walked out of the elevator and over to the door.
‘Becca do you want me to drive?’ Ethan asked I nodded handing him the keys walking to the passengers side.
‘AIDAN ARE YOU COMING?’ I yelled getting in. he looked at me then at Ethan nodding and coming to get in the car. Ethan started the car and I turned the heater on.
‘so Becca who are you partnered with?’ Ethan asked.
‘Aidan.’ I said looking out of the window I said Aidan perk up in the mirror behind me. I saw Ethan look at Aidan in the rear view mirror.
‘What bout me?’ he asked I looked at him.
‘I see Isaac in your future.’ I said chuckling a bit at the look that Ethan gave the road in front of us we got to school and there were crowds of people gathered around the bus that was going to take us where we were going to go. Getting out of the car Ethan handed me my keys I locked it putting the keys in my backpack.
‘Becca ill see you later Danny.’ Ethan said walking over to Danny who waved at me. I saw Scott and Stiles looking at me arguing amongst themselves, before Scott walked over.
‘Hi Becca.’ he said smiling at me.
‘hi Scott’ I said returning his smile. ‘hey Stiles.’ I said waving at him.
‘Hey.’ he said
‘So you guys ready for this?’ I asked walking towards the bus.
‘As ready as ill ever be’ Stiles said getting on the bus we had to sit with our partners. I saw Aidan sitting by the window in a seat in the middle of the bus. I went and sat with him Ethan ended up with Scott instead of Isaac which he was okay with. I sat down in the seat next to Aidan and he tensed. I rolled my eyes at him.
‘Why do I have a feeling that those two together is a mistake?’ I heard Scott ask.
‘because it is.’ Ethan said I could tell that they were watching us. The bus ride was quiet when we got there we got a list a map and a compass to the destination.
Ethan came over and talking to Aidan before we left, and Scott walked over to me.
‘Do you think that Aidan is going to try anything?’ he asked implying that Deucalion wants them to kill me.
‘eh I can take him.’ I said chuckling.
‘he’s an Alpha.’ Scott said kind of confused.
‘that doesn’t matter.’ I said
‘it doesn’t?’ he asked.
‘nope.’ I said walking over towards Ethan and Aidan.
‘are you ready yet?’ I asked Aidan looked at me then at Ethan and nodded. We started down the trail it was quiet we had been walking for a long while before anyone said anything. The trail we were walking along was beautiful it was very green. There were trees that had fallen over and had moss growing over the top of them. Things to climb over. Everyone was given a different map so that it was really up to the two people that were reading it to figure out where we were going.
We came across a lake about three hours into the hike and still had yet to speak. The view of the lake was breath taking the forest was reflecting off the surface of the water and the water itself was still almost if the lake was stagnate but I could tell that it wasn’t.
‘How about we rest here for a few minuets?’ Aidan asked unsure of himself.
‘sounds good.’ I said walking towards the edge of the lake. I looked at the position of the sun it must have been about one in the afternoon. Walked over to the large rock cluster that Aidan was sitting by looking at the map I sat down on the rock in front of him. He tensed again I looked at him doing one of those times where someone is acting weird around you and you discreetly sniff your self to see if you smell bad, and I smelled just fine.
I also felt a shift like there was something making him uneasy about being around me, and there was something that they weren’t telling me.
‘Aidan are you okay?’ I asked he glared over the map at me.
‘im fine.’ he growled something in his tone made that hurt, but I didn’t want him to know that.
‘all right then.’ I said staring out at the lake this is going to be a long four days.
