A figure standing in the shadows raises a hand in hello and the light just brushes his finger tips. In the blink of an eye, a wolf now replaces the figure.

My wolf.

My wolf is the man?

What magic is this? I ask myself as I watch my wolf run into the forest.

I begin pacing and realize how cold I am and dash inside to fetch a fur to wrap around my thread barren clothes. My pacing turns to aimless wondering when I am once again outside. With my face on my feet I let my body direct where I go.

I muse over the events of the past months, almost a year and reflect on how much I said to the wolf, talked to him, and how he communicated back.

A glow at my feet alerts me to where I am. The rose in the mystic light. Realizing where I am makes me take note of my surroundings due to what happen here the last time.

The shadows are longer and the light lower. I cant have been walking around that much I am not that cold I look up at the sky to see where the sun sits and see the most amazing sight. The moon is attempting to block the light that the sun fives off.

A gasp escapes my lips and at the same time a pur echos though the enchanted clearing.

My focus chases the noise and finds where the ripple started, my wolf. He sits at the edge of the trees looking at me.

His eyes wistful, lustful, and hopeful.

I can't help but feel like something important is about to happen.

The wolf goes to step out from behind him. Her hair is in disarray, twigs decorate her hair, and her clothes are layered with patches scattered throughout.

I turn to flee but her soft clear voice stops me.

"Don't go, he needs you!" she says as she gestures to the wolf who has crumpled to the ground and withers around in agony.

I rush to him ignoring the strange woman's presence. My hand slides through his thick fur. I can feel his warmth and as my touch gets closer to his warmth the pain racking his body slows and so does his beating heart.

I panic when signs of life start to leave him, "Please don't leave me . I need you. I l-love you, you are my wolf, my man, mine!" I say as his body stills, no movement, no breathe or heart beat stirs his body.

"NO, NO NOOOO!" I shout.

I turn and glare at the woman, "You did this to him. You caused his suffering!"

Her face blank of any emotions, "Yes I did"

"And you just healed him"

I stand there grasping for something to say and when nothing comes to mind I turn and focus back on my......

Man?
