(Kaneki's POV)

I am so mad right now. I just got evicted from my house and I don't even know why! Currently I'm walking to my co-workers house to beg her if I could stay the night.

When I'm one block away from her house I start crossing the street. Immediately I look to my left to see a speeding car 3 yard away slowly trying to stop. Then everything went black.

(Hide's POV)
I pulled into my parking lot and quickly went to get the unconscious boy out of my car and into my house.

All was fine right up until I got to my front door. I stood there for a minute thinking of the best possible way to get inside without dropping my passenger. Suddenly, I hear him whimper painfully, I look down to see his face subtly twisting in pain. Carefully I put his feet on the ground, leaned his head on my shoulder and wrapped my arm securely around his waist. I opened the door, ran inside while simultaneously kicking the door shut, and put him on my couch. I didn't have any real pillows near me, so I used my shirt to prop his head up. I walked over to a cabinet and grabbed a first aid kit along with some hard core pain killers and a refrigerated water bottle. I walked back over to him and took his sweatshirt off so I could inspect his chest. First I saw a massive bruise forming then I went about feeling each rib to find at least 4 broken.

(Time skip to when Kaneki is all patched up)

When I was done I was EXHAUSTED. I needed to keep a watch on him until he woke up so I decided to move him to my bed were we could both sleep peacefully.
