Darkness surrounded her. Everything was silent and it was deafening. She couldn’t see, she couldn’t move and everything ached. She was tied down to something and she could feel something running down her neck slowly. She had a sudden panic. Had she been attacked and brutally beaten? Maybe this is what death was like, a cruel mistress who liked to torture you into thinking you’re still alive. All of a sudden a bright light hit her eyes and she screwed them shut as it burned her retinas. She cursed under her breath. “Oh now don’t be like that sweetie. It’s not good for the tongue” a voice said. She tensed up.

“What do you want from me?”

“Now my dear, you’ve been under surveillance for the last few years and recently, we’ve noticed that you are breaking the rules and interacting with criminals. Being a wanted fugitive myself, I can’t have you running off to Korse and telling him my plans now can I? So it looks like I need to shut you up” the guy said, smirking slightly.

She managed to adjust to the light and looked at her surroundings. She was in what looked like an abandoned barn. Next to her was a small table with a tray on the top of it, covered in tools, blades and torture objects. Her eyes widened. He was going to torture her, then kill her. “I won’t go to Korse. I promise I won’t say a word to him please just let me go you have my word!” she said, panic lacing every word.

“No, you won’t go and tell Korse. You are going to give me the access codes to all of the BLI buildings and computers and then I will get my name and face removed from the system. Give me those codes and you can walk free.”

“I will never give them to you!” she spat. He sighed and picked up a pair of pliers.

“I hoped it wouldn’t have to come to this” he grabbed her index finger on her left hand and bent it backwards with the pliers, causing her to scream out in pain as it made a loud snapping and cracking noise.

Minutes had passed since he broke her finger and her entire hand was throbbing in pain. She was forcing the tears back, trying not to let weakness show. “Still refusing to give me the codes? The more you refuse the more I will hurt you” he snarled, looking her right in the eye. She shook her head, growling quietly. “Fine then” he grabbed her middle finger on her right hand and bent it backwards. He did the same with all of her fingers until each one was broken and was crying in pain. The sound of her screams only urged him on even more. “Well, looks like the broken fingers did nothing to get me the codes. Maybe if I cut you and then burnt you I might get them” he grinned, picking up a scalpel. Her eyes widened.

He ripped the sleeves from her shirt and lazily dragged the blade down her forearm. She groaned in pain, feeling the blood rush out quickly. She could feel herself starting to sweat because of the pain and exhaustion setting in. “Still nothing? Well it looks like I’ll be having great fun with you then.” He grabbed a beaker of clear liquid and a pipette. He squeezed some of the liquid into it and then put drops onto the cut. She screamed in agony. “Maybe the acid and the wound on your arm might make a difference!”

It had been a whole day since the 4 men had heard or seen Kasi and they were starting to get worried. Ghoul was pacing the room and kept looking out the window. “She’s late. Really late.”

“Maybe she got held up at work. She’ll be here dude just relax” Poison said as calmly as possible. He wouldn’t show the worry he was feeling. He heard a car approach and saw Kobra and Jet run inside.

“She’s gone. She’s been abducted. Caught word of it over a transmitter on one of the Dracs. She never showed up for work so they went to her house and there are signs of a struggle and there’s blood. She’s been abducted and no one knows where she is or if she’s alive” Kobra said.

“They can’t have taken her far. There isn’t many places they can hide and stay quiet. Kobra, you go with Ghoul and check the abandoned farms in zones 7&8. Jet, you’re with me. We’ll go look in 4&5. Stay safe and get back here before dark” Poison said. They nodded and left quickly.

“I am getting impatient! Just give me the damn codes already!”

“I swore… I wouldn’t let anyone know… You won’t get them” she panted. Her arm had gone numb meaning the nerve endings were damaged. He sighed and motioned for someone to come into the room.

“She won’t co-operate. Do what you have to. Just make sure you get those codes” he said. The female nodded and Kasi immediately recognised her. “I’ll give it one more try and then I’ll let you finish her off.”

“Yes sir” she smirked. The male dismissed her and looked back at Kasi. He grabbed a needle and another, cleaner blade.

“Relax. The acid is all gone. In this needle is the truth serum that BLI use on their prisoners. Now I’m going to use it on you and if it doesn’t work, I’ll cut you some more” he smirked darkly.

He cleaned an area of her arm and pushed the needle into it. She groaned weakly, feeling the liquid sink into her blood stream. It was only a matter of time before it worked. She looked over at the woman in the corner. She was a traitor. “Traitorous fucking bitch” she whispered to herself.

“Now there is no need to speak so low. Please, share your thoughts.”

“I called her a traitorous bitch” she spat. The woman frowned and walked over, grabbing the knife from his hands and slashing it across her face.

“If you make it out alive, tell Party Poison that Unseen Change says hi” she smirked. “Oh, I forgot. You won’t be making it out alive because you won’t co-operate” she shrugged, slashing it across her face again, blood spurting out of the wound and onto her clothes.

Kasi gave up trying to fight back and eventually lost consciousness. She prayed she would be dead soon. That was until the last voices she heard were those of her rescuers.
