“Any sign of her Jet?”

“None. We’ve followed the tracks and they’ve lead us nowhere” he sighed. Poison bit his lip.

“I wonder if Kobra and Ghoul have had any luck” he said, slumping back into the seat of the trans am. He grabbed his transmitter. “Ghoul? Kobra come in it’s Poison. We haven’t had any luck what about you?” he sent. Silence. He sighed and chucked it onto the centre console.

“Dude do you still have the transmitter?”

“I left it in the car why?”

“Well what if someone needs to get hold of us? Oh never mind I’ll go get it” Kobra whispered almost silently. He snuck back round to the door and grabbed it out, just as the static blasted through the small speaker. “Poison? If you can hear me, we haven’t found anything either. We’ll keep looking but for now it’s a no go. Kobra out” he said, clipping it back to his belt.

“Well?”

“It’s a no go with Poison and Jet. We should keep looking and then meet up at sunset. We have no flashlights so we can’t be out after dark” he said. Ghoul nodded and they crept slowly into the abandoned building they were camped outside of.

Poison and get heard the squealing of car tyres speeding away from a warehouse. They looked at the car. It wasn’t a Killjoy vehicle. It didn’t look like a BLI vehicle either but it was speeding towards the city. They looked at each other, clambered back into the car and grabbed the transmitter. “Keep your eyes peeled for a white car. It’s headed toward the city we’re about to follow. Keep behind us” he said, chucking back onto the dashboard and sped off quickly after the car.

They looked at the transmitter and started the engine quickly. “If their following a car then they could be near her location. They sped toward the location and stopped outside the warehouse. “Should we go look inside just to check?”

“I think it’s a wise idea” Ghoul replied. The pulled their masks on and grabbed their guns, sneaking into the building to the sound of two voices. One of the voices sounded weak and helpless and the other one was the voice of a woman.

“You can complain all you want. By the time you get found, well by the time your body gets found, it will be too late. Save what little energy you have left” she smirked. Kasi glared at her. “If we kill one of their workers, they will know we mean business. You made the mistake of telling us you work for them” Unseen shrugged, unaware of Kobra and Ghoul sneaking up on her from behind. She froze when she felt a gun being pressed into her back.

“You have two choices. You let her go willingly or we kill you and take her. Your choice.”

“She works for them! She’s a traitor! She doesn’t belong with us!”

“Choice made” Ghoul pulled the trigger on his gun, watching her drop to the ground.

They quickly untied Kasi and carefully carried her out to the car. She had lost consciousness and had lost a lot of blood. Kobra kept hold of her and climbed into the car as Ghoul sped toward the city. “Are you kidding me?”

“No I’m not. We can’t fix her properly. She’s so badly injured there is nothing we can do. Don’t argue with me” he said flatly, concentrating on the road. He grabbed the transmitter and sent an emergency message out to whoever was listening at the time. “This is Fun Ghoul. I have Kasi, a worker from the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W unit. She’s alive but badly injured. She needs emergency treatment. We are nearing the city now and are willing to hand her over” he said, struggling at the last part.

The sound of the transmission echoed over the speakers in the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W building. Immediately, a retrieval team was sent to meet them outside of the city to get her to the hospital. They waited patiently at a checkpoint just outside of Zone 1 and watched the car pull up slowly to them. They waited as the car rolled to a stop and then they walked over. “Hand over the girl and no one gets hurt” one of them said. Kobra swallowed hard and got out the car quietly, handing her over reluctantly. “Thank you. We can tell you when she gets better and if she decides to thank you when she awakens, we will come and find you. Thank you for bringing her back alive” he said. They got back in the car and headed back to the city.

Darkness. Nothing but darkness and pain. She groaned and woke up, rubbing her head with her good hand. Light filled the room slowly and she got up, walking over to a door. “Don’t go through that door if you don’t want to survive” a voice said. She walked away from it slowly and walked straight into the wall backwards. Suddenly, a sharp burning pain filled her stomach and chest and something warm dripped down slowly. She looked up to see the face of Party Poison stood there, holding a blood-soaked knife. Her eyes widened.

“Why?”

“Stay away from us” he snarled, slamming it straight into her throat.
