Bree's POV

I watched the whole thing. From the time my father yelled at my brother for his leadership, to the time the unthinkable was said. I couldn't believe what Mr Davenport said. I watched as Chase stormed out of the room, apologising for his leadership and for being a burden. He didn't deserved to be yelled at. Chase was a great mission leader and I didn't see why Mr Davenport didn't see that.
Mr Davenport stood silently at the back of the room. I could see the guilt and regret on his face. I turn to face Adam, whose face was red with anger.

" How could you say that?" I ask in a hush tone
I turn to face Mr Davenport.
" How could you speak to my brother , your son like that." Adam stated
Mr Davenport, slowly paced around the room.
" This is all my fault" Mr Davenport said in a hush tone
" Well I'm glad someone said it" Adam commented
I punch him in the arm gently.
" I can't believe I said that. I was mad in the moment I never meant to hurt him like that." Mr Davenport said
" Well you did. You know what Mr Davenport I'm not going to say another word, you probably already feel guilty enough." I say whilst leaving the room with Adam.

Mr Davenport's POV
Guilt and regret. How could I have said that to him. I knew I was wrong and I wanted to go apologise but I didn't know how. I called him a burden. I knew forgiveness wouldn't come easily.

Chase's  POV

I couldn't stay there any longer. I couldn't see Mr Davenport. I didn't want to.
I knew he would be mad about the mission,  but in my heart I had a glimmer of hope that he may be proud of what I had done. That's all I really wanted. I walk into the training area, and see Leo and Taylor talking with the other students.

" Hey Chase. Want to join us?" Taylor asked
" No, I think I just need some alone time right now. How are you feeling Leo?" I ask
" Good, I feel a lot better. I'm not seeing double any more so that's a good sign."
I let out a slight chuckle
" Hey Taylor the next time you decide to punch me, wait till I'm paying attention." Leo commented
Taylor held her hands up in defence
" By the way, you guys did awesome on that mission. We were watching the security feed. You guys did awesome." Taylor commented
" Yeah I saw it too, I wish I was there, but I was busy recovering from a concussion." Leo said casually while glaring at Taylor
" Thanks guys, I just wish Mr Davenport would see that?" A small tear escapes my eye, as I recall the earlier memories
Leo and Taylor slowly approached me
" Chase are you ok?" Leo asks
I quickly wipe away the tear
" Yeah, all good just hurting" I reply
" Why, what happened? What did Mr Davenport say?" Leo asked
I Close my eyes and and let out a small sigh.

" He questioned my leader ship. He said I was constantly putting the team at risk.He said I was a burden!" I state in a angered yet sad tone.
Leo and Taylor looked speechless. Before Leo could say anything I saw Mr Davenport enter the room.
I lock my eyes with him as Taylor and Leo trace their eyes to who I am staring at.
" I have to go." I say to Leo and Taylor, as I leave the room.

I hear footsteps trail behind me as I leave the room.
"Chase we need to talk" I hear Mr Davenport say.
I stop dead in my tracks, before slowly turning around.
" Talk about what. What I'm doing wrong" I angrily state
I look him dead in the eye.
"Chase I never meant to say what I said, it just slipped out. You never listen to my orders and that made me mad" He stuttered
I look at him with a mix of emotions. I couldn't believe his response. Not even an apology was mentioned.
" Just slipped out he says. You know what Mr Davenport, from now on I will follow your orders exactly. I won't let this situation get me down, so I'm just going to follow you and your rule book exactly. Thanks for the support."
At that moment I leave the room I had enough of Mr Davenport. It was getting late and all I wanted to do was sleep.
