Davenport's POV
He remembered. He actually remembered. I was so happy for him as I cried tears of joy. I hugged my son not wanting to let go. He was moving, he was breathing and he remembered everything.
I felt someone tug my shoulder and turn around to face the doctor.
" Sir may I talk to you in private" he asked politely.
I nod in agreement
" Sure" I. Reply
I let the others continue talking to Chase. The doctor directed me outside the room and shut the door behind him.
" Sir it is highly unusual that he was able to remember everything in such little time. He hurt himself hard trying to reach those memories and for him to have done that in such little time is very unusual." He explained
I took in every word he said but didn't see the problem.
" What's the problem then? He got his memories back and that's all that matters!" I question
" Sir I think we have reason to believe that his bionic chip had something to do with his quick memory gain. I believe it would be a good idea for you to do a scan of his chip just to ensure that no damage has been done that may injure him. " He explained
I nod in agreement
" Thank You fro all your work doctor I really appreciate it" I say
"No problem! if no problems have occurred with his chip I'm happy to say that your son is ok. You are very lucky sir. Many people don't survive from a accident like." He states seriously
I smile in joy
" Yeah I've got a fighter as a son" I exclaim as I look at Chase in joy.
Time skip
" Ok Chase I need to do a scan of your chip. So if you could just step inside your capsule so I can scan it." I ask
He gets of the couch and quickly steps into his capsule.
" Why do you need to scan it?" He asked
" Well you see. When you tried to retrieve your memory you did it very quickly. Now the doctor is concerned that your ability to gain your memory quickly had something to do with your bionic chip. So for safety I'm just going to scan it to ensure that everything is ok." I explain
He nods in agreement.
As I scan his chip I look at diagnosis on my laptop.
" Ok let's see what we have here." I exclaim as I scrolled through the diagram
" I don't see anything unusual so I think you are ok! You can step out of your capsule now. " I say
He steps out of the capsule and approaches me with a smile.
" Mr Davenport the reason I was able to gain all my memories is because of you guys. Adam, Bree, Leo , You and even Douglas. When I looked at you guys I felt something and I couldn't control it. Images flashed and memories of our greatest times and toughest times came through my head. The reason I remembered everything is because of the great family we have, and none of that could have been possible without you. So thanks for all the memories but you should know my bionic chip had nothing to do with getting my memory back it was all because of the great family you raised. " He explains
I was shocked. After everything he had went through. With the mission and me. He thanked me for gaining his memory back not destroying it.
" Chase, I know I haven't paid that much attention to your leader ship and I just wanted to say thank you. The team wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for you always looking out for your siblings and I thank you for that."
A smile lights up on his face. I missed that smile so much and was so grateful for the way things turned out.
" Anyway the students still don't know that you are ok so let's go tell them." I say as i start walking out of the room.
When we reached the academy Taylor was the first person to jump up.
" CHASE, I'm so glad your ok!" She shouts while hugging Chase
" Thanks but how did you guys find out?" Chase questioned confused.
" Adam told us. He seriously ran through the halls shouting CHASE IS ALIVE, AND HE REMEMBERS" Taylor explained.
We all laugh.
Soon after Adam Bree and Leo walk in.
" Hey guys, what were you guys just doing!" I ask
" Oh well, Adam finished waking up the neighbourhood shouting" Bree says
" How could he wake everyone up we are on an island" Chase asks
" That's exactly my my point" Bree remarks
" Also we bought someone down who wanted to see how you were going!" Leo says while motioning his hands to the hydroloop.
Within a matter of seconds Tasha walks out.
" Tasha your here! " I exclaim in excitement
" Yes I am and I heard everything that happened. I'm glad to see that you are ok Chase, and as a celebration I will be cooking dinner and spending a few nights here." She explains enthusiastically
" So what's the good part!" Adam comments.
I roll my eyes at his silly comment. That's Adam for you.
" Sounds great." I say while walking the family up to the mentor quarters.
Things couldn't get any better .
Authors Note
Ok so I know I said there would be a few more chapters left of this book, but I decide to end it here because I really want to start another story.
I am stuck deciding on which type of story to write so let me know in the comments which one you guys would like to see.
1. Chase gets sick ( Suggested by Susz13 so thank you )
Or
2. A story where the lab rats encounter pain and suffering when A fellow villain makes an appearance! BTW the villain won't be Troy but another villain.
So please help me decide in the comments below. Eventually I will hopefully get a chance to write both stories of but I have to start off with writing one because school is very chaotic.
