Chapter 2. Meeting him

We finally got to our new home in Maryland. I looked at the house it wasn't big but it wasn't small either. My mom opened the door and breathed in our new house smell. I looked around and went into my room. I liked it it had a bathroom connected to it. My mom opened the door "like your new room sweetie?" I nodded. "Great, I'm going to the store to get stuff I'll be back in an 1 hour and 30 mins." " ok mom " I opened a box and pulled out my penny board.I decided to go out so I got my penny board my phone and left a note for my mom. I was changing the song on my playlist when I suddenly crashed into someone. " Omg I'm so sorry I'm so clumsy I should have se-" I got interrupted by a cute boy who looked about my age. " it's ok I didn't get hurt" he said with a smile. I blushed a little because we were staring at each other which seemed like forever. " uh I'm Marcus" " I'm Angel nice to meet you" " Angel is a pretty name just like you" my god Marcus is so cute and sweet is he flirting with me .? I Said in my head. I looked down because I could feel myself blushing hard. Thanks I said and got on my penny board. He walked next to me while I was riding my penny board . " are you new here because I've never seen you around  here before." " oh yeah I just moved here from Florida , my mom got a new job here that pays more than it did in Florida. " oh and what does your dad work as?" I stopped skating and looked at the ground  " uh my dad actually left us a while ago to be with his girlfriend" I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry. " oh I'm sorry he said. "It's fine" I said. Marcus have you ever rode on a penny board? He grabbed my penny board "oh this pshhh  yes " as soon as he put his foot on the board he fell on his butt. I burst into laughter. He looked up smiled at me " ok ok so I don't know how to" I helped him up and said " I'll teach you " He smiled and said that would be awesome. I looked up and saw it was getting dark. "'I better get home though how about tomorrow?" " sounds great, I should walk you though because it's getting pretty dark". He is a complete stranger but I feel like I can trust him . " sure" I said while picking up my penny board.
We talked all the way until I got home. I walked up to my house and then he said "Wait!" I turned around "yea?" I never got your number. We exchanged numbers then he gave me a goodnight  hug.  I silently closed the door and tiptoed quietly to my room. I changed into my pjs and got a text from Marcus.
'Sweet dreams my angel 😘'
I smiled and went to sleep.
